Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

Tolkien hasn't been around for two-thousand years.
Confucious and Lao-Tsu feel very honored to be considered superior "spiritual geniuses" compared to that wannabee Paul whose claim to fame was a hallucination.

So what does this have to do with Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth again?

It proves it because the Bible is always right . . . even the things that contradict. Just keep repeating to yourself: always right. Also, take the blue pill.

Jesus/God probably knew that would be the case also which is why Jesus specifically appeared to the Christian persecutor Paul on the road to Damascus and called him to do his mission. In the process Christ made Paul a spiritual genius. I say Paul was a spiritual genius because how many other people do you know that can write several letters that are powerful enough and sublime enough to make up a large portion of the greatest selling book of all time, and are deeply analyzed by Christian and non-Christian scholars for 2 thousand years.
(1)Please provide some evidence that Jesus appeared to Paul.
(2) You don't need to be a spiritual Genius to sell books, you need to tell a good story. Go into a bookshop and look what sells most factual books by spiritual geniuses or fiction.
(3) I recall you providing a link to the greatest selling book of all time and the page you linked to said it was Mao's Little red book.

If popularity makes the genius, what does it means of Oprah?
What does it means about John, Paul, Ringo and George? They are/were, after all, atheists, and 'more popular than Jesus'.

Did God also know that entire cultures would be wiped out in his name? You'd think he'd have done something to prevent that, or maybe you believe those are acceptable losses in the good fight.

Paul, who was described as the 6th most influential person in the history of the world according to the book "The 100: a Ranking of the 100 Most Influential People in History" stated he saw Christ in his own words and thus was an eyewitness. He also states he was the last to see Jesus.

1 Corinthians 15: 3-8

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also...

I just saw Jesus, and he told me Paul was lying.

So you're using the Bible to prove the Bible is true. Got it.

Do you have any other tunes besides this one? Because it's getting really boring.

And #1 went to Muhammed. Way to shoot yourself in the foot, there.

Argument by Bible quote doesn't exactly wash here. I don't know how it is that you've spent so much time here and have yet to figure that out.

What? You don't like the smell of arguments from authority?
It smells like victory logical fallacy!

I did a quick google, and edited my post. DOC has a bad habit of repeating a factoid without actually looking it up first...

This guy claims that God/Jesus is talking to him. Do you believe him?

Yes, it's all love your neighbor, love your enemy Jesus' fault. Using your rationale, Watergate is the fault of the founding fathers who created the office of the President.

Sorry, but there was no TV cameras back then to record the incident on the road to Damascus. If you don't want to believe the spiritual genius Paul who was ranked as the 6th most influential person in human history, and almost daily risked his life preaching the gospel then that is certainly your right.
