Looks like FOX and O'Reilly have found the perfect example of a failed state being run into the ground by atheist liburals.

Fox on my native country.

O'Reilly on our anarchist hell-pit, with a response from some very surprised Dutch people.

I know, I know, to you Yankees out there this is hardly shocking. But it was just a little bizarre to see my -reasonably successful- country paraded on US TV as the Triangle Of Death on meth.

I leave you with the dance remix.

LOL, didn't even catch that the first time.

When FOX says 'Or the policies coming out of parliament' they show a shot of the museum near the parliament building. Perhaps the editor thought it looked more atheist than the actual parliament building.

Are you one of those talking about the idea of a "suicide pill"?

Oh hang on, the only people talking about that idea was Fox News....

As someone without access to the vid right now, can you summarize what the points are against Netherlands?

In the discussion on euthanasia, such a pill has been used as a hypothetical device. See Drion's pill.

Anyone further noticed that Fox claimed polygamy were allowed in the Netherlands, as well as that we'd practice infanticide? :jaw-dropp

But in Amsterdam in one part of the city, alot lot beautyfull Angels was sitting behind displaywindows. They cant be God hating :D

Er, haven't spies been issued with cyanide capsules since, like, forever?

Rolfe.

Perhaps they aren't part of the canon of the science-fiction TV programme "Fox News"? (From what I gather it's a bit like Sliders in that it's an 'alternate reality' TV-show based on the premise: "What if logic worked differently?")

O'Reilly and his guests say things like "[The Dutch] teach children to smoke pot and have free sex" "Amsterdam is a mess. Their experimentation with social tolerance, free love, free drugs clearly has backfired. Amsterdam is a cesspool of corruption and crime. It is anarchy."

The videographer contrasts those quotes with statistics showing that the Dutch smoke less pot than Americans, have fewer drug overdoses than the U.S. and have fewer murders than the U.S.

I do love the bigotry implied in "their experimentation with social tolerance" As if treating immigrants and other minorities with respect is somehow a foolish thing.

Now that you write those two paragraphs - the videographer forgot to add the statistics for teenage pregnancies and for abortions, both also being much lower in the Netherlands than in the US. That's what sex-ed and easy access to abortion clinics (on UHC money) gets you.

Of course, while the U.S. scores worse on murders, drug overdoses, teen pregnancies; the Netherlands is much worse than the U.S. when it comes to bicycle thefts per capita.
........
just a little joke for de nederlanders in the huis

I also love that we 'teach our children free love'.

It conjures up images of bell bottoms, beanbags and lava lamps.:)

:D Appreciated. In the city I lived during my high school years, the top-3 spots where bikes were stolen were outside: the biggest department store, the municipal library, and the police station. :)
