A broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barret
Well, my airline tickets are confirmed (I travel on my Sky Miles, but an 8-hour layover in Houston!!!) and my Oyster Card has been ordered, so now I am looking for acommadation and potential roommates.
I plan to be in a Hotel in London from 1-5 October (leave 1:20Pm 6 October) and with the Oyster Card, I can look for hotels several tube stops away (I have my eye on a couple of places near the British Museum that are within walking distance of Tottenham Court, Russell Square, and Goodge Street stations). But willing to listen to other thoughts.
Me, I'm 57, bald, somewhat overweight (for various definitions of some), wear glasses, do not smoke and does not drink to excess. Probably more early to bed and early to rise than most, but I can adjust. According to other roommates, snore like a chainsaw (earplugs optional).
That said, I can cover my half of the room expenses with no problem, and am quite capable of staying on my own dime if I have to.
So, anybody needing a roomie? And any suggestions for Hotels?
