If you use it to delouse clothings then it can be life saving. Both the Germans and the Allies used it for this purpose.

Yes, but only one used it in closed rooms with no ventilation in quanties designed to kill

Zyklon B is fatal to humans, just like Rat poison.

Would you put rat poison into someone's home?

Actually, Nazi propaganda was quite fond to compare the Jews to rats .

I believe the Nazi also described Judaism as 'cultural parasitism'.

So, yes, indeed, they viewed the murder of the Jews as a 'delousing' of sort.

I too am a WWII Buff...Rosenberg was also an architect. I know' its Wiki, but from Wiki:

"Rosenberg studied architecture at the Riga Polytechnical Institute and engineering at Moscow Highest Technical School,[4] completing his Ph.D. studies in 1917. Buildings that he designed in this period still stand in the central part of Tallinn."

That completely comports with my memory of other sources.

And, yes, Speer was an architect, arguably not "failed" just bad.

Yup, you're right -- you win. By the way, at least Rosenberg designed regular buildings -- not the fascistic monstrosities of Speer, whose main architectural "virtue" was agreeing with Hitler's megalomania.

So, what you are saying is we should be very suspicious of that guy in the coffee shop with radical political views who majored in Philosophy in college and lists his profession as "in a band"?

Suspicious? You should kill him on the spot.

Starbuck's business would suffer, but...

And if you dump enough of it into a sealed room with a bunch of people in it, it will kill them.

Only the Germans used it for that purpose, though.

Nah, more specifically one who has submitted his novel to every publisher out there and was rejected by them all, or is a painter whose work no gallery will exhibit.

Shouldn't we at least wait for this person to decide to try a political carrier?

He might ends up giving up his artistic aspirations and taking a job as a waiter at Starbucks, after all (or as a skipper on a Disney cruise ride)..

"Tell us more about the little nazi symp! "

Honestly, that pretty well covers it. Shows up in Georgia with two members of the KKK, complains about an international Jewish conspiracy against him (the irony, considering the number of countries he's been kicked out of & the international company he keeps), said there wasn't enough coke shipped to Auschwitz to dispose of the bodies using numbers based on the quantity of coke required to dispose of a single body (a very large percentage is wasted in the heating and cooling of the oven - not a factor if you're running a continuous operation), eyewitnesses aren't reliable, etc., etc.

The time frame was sometime in the early 1990's - right after the Goebbels diaries were revealed. Long before the libel trial involving D. Lipstadt (who incidently, teaches in Georgia).

He did actually get around to somewhat talking about the diaries, but Goebbels isn't very interesting to me. A small man who took full advantage of the power & prestige of his position. Kind of reminded me of Charles Manson, but with less personal charisma.

My favorite though - a friend of mine overheard him talking - he said he had been protested when he spoke at a university (Berkley? it's been a while) - by "Jews, lesbians, and other scum".

In short, Irving was the only Englishman I've ever met that seemed to regret that the Germans didn't win WWII.

This is what I don't understand. If you are Nazis and you've read the books and speeches by Hitler, then wouldn't you proud of his 'accomplishment'...is in we helped save the world by killing 6 million of those Jews and we would have gotten more if we had won. They should be shouting it from the roof tops, not trying to hide it.

You know, as I recall, PBS once did a pretty good reenactment of the Irving libel trial. Well worth a watch if anyone missed it.

On his web site, there was for a long time a statement to the effect that worldwide conspiracy by the evil, lying, money-loving Jews to label him as an antisemite.

Self-reflection isn't his strongest point.

About his recent arrest, there is this ditty:

Now he's in Jew-controlled prison
Say the Jew-controlled news
To the Jew-controlled pleasure
Of the Jew-controlled Jews.

Exactly. Which proves that today´s Nazis are a bunch of liars.

There is also the fact that the last model of oven installed there was designed to capture body fat (what little was left in the typical prisoner) as additional fuel.

I recall interviews with some of the Sonderkommando (I hope I spelled that right) that stated they would burn 2-3 at the time - one fresh arrival to the camp was included because the emaciated corpses took longer to consume by themselves, but if you added a corpse that still had fat on it, it was more efficient.

Add that to the things I never wanted to think about.

There was a pattern built up from Mein Kampf onward - it's really a fairly straightforward progression of events. Hitler said before he was in power that he wanted to get rid of the Jews and other people he considered undesirables (Roma, homosexuals, etc), and, in one of the rare events of a politician following through with a campaign promise, he and his cronies actually tried to do it. Not even the deniers are saying he didn't round up people into concentration camps - Do they think he intended to release them after the war? If so, where's the documentation? Where are the plans for the new Jewish settlements? Where was it to be located?

Nobody's even mentioned much about medical experiments on freezing, pressure effects, etc. that were conducted and well documented. Or the euthanization program for the mentally retarded; also well documented.

Check out Himmler's Posnan Speech. The degenerate little weasle at least had the power of his murderous convictions...and while still wedded to language designed to obscure the true horror of what they were up to, he was absolutely proud of their achievements.

I note: I think he would have been equally proud if they were just dropping like flies because of "typhus"...so if that is why people were dying in the SS's little camps, why wouldn't he mention that? I guess he would have been so ashamed of running the camps so poorly that people were dying of Typhus that he thought it would go bettter for him if he suggested they were dying because of the heroic efforts of the SS.

And the hate for the Jehovah's Witnesses. Whuffo that for those harmless deluded people?

I've seen stupid kids in their black and silver Gothic suits with "ausrotten" embroidered on them, at the Mall.
After pointing these out to Mall Security, they are told to leave and not return, by Security.

The mainline churches were more willing to go along with Hitler because it made them more powerful in mundane matters and enriched them considerably. Jehova's Witnesses will have notrhing to do with mundane government, as a group. Not the sort of people you want around to annoy an all-consuming state.

They probably viewed Hitler as The Beast, and were not about to play the Harlot to him.

(The Beast kills the Harlot in the end.)
