Merged Homoeopathic A&E (ER)

must see comedy sketch

A really brilliant spoof of homeopathy and other medical woo.

I can't believe I hadn't run across these guys before!

OK, apparently I'm too new to post a URL. Just go to youtube and search for "Mitchell and Webb Homeopathic A&E"

You won't be sorry.

That is absolutely hilarious! Great reason to join the forum, jm. Thanks for sharing.

:welcome4

And when you get older, you'll even be able to put the videos right into the post. ;)

Very funny. I can't believe it has not been done before.

The script and acting were hilarious, but the laugh track ruined it for me.

That was a HORRIBLE use of laugh track.

It would also be great if one would try to use the search function before creating a new thread...

The granddaddy of all these is Dave Allen, and I can never resist an opportunity for posting a clip of his act:

Thank you! I recall him doing that bit on the show broadcast over here, but it's been decades since PBS was so voluntarily tasteless!

When I was coming up, Dave Allen was the only Brit comedian who could do a decent American accent. I realized that it was because he was Irish, as were many of my forebears and another bunch of those who brought us our modern Chicagoans.

It's unlikely to be one. Typically British programmes don't use canned laughter any more, but rather film some scenes in front of an audience, and screen the rest to an audience to record their reactions. It's so common, I don't even notice it.

Whew!

For a minute I thought, how did I post the 'youtube in the post' and not see that lister had already done so.
