Getting fed at TAM 7

My evil plan of "I'll drive my car if you buy dinner/split between several" has fallen through. Alas, after much investigation of a curious issue, I have discovered there is water leaking into cylinder #4 :( . So unless someone is wanting to drink a fair amount at dinner/over the evening I'm out.

*I am more than willing to be a designated driver (just in another vehicle)*.

Barring that freak chance (of someone saying "Dude, my car") I am still 'interested' in dinner, though I may only do one. Now to decide which off-site meal...
 
I've gone ahead and made reservations for dinner at the Peppermill on Friday night, at 7pm.

Currently the headcount is at 13. That doesn't mean we're limited to that number -- they were very cool about saying they could accommodate a larger party if the number grows. BUT -- if you decide to come and have not yet RSVPd, let me, Arthwollipot, or MattusMaximus know beforehand so we can alert the restaurant with the final number.

I'll post this info on the TAM7 Twitter feed later in the week in case this information misses anyone who would otherwise want to join us. Celebrations will continue post-dinner, either in the Peppermill lounge, or back at South Point!

Saganite, I'm planning to take a group up to the Sahara to do the rollercoaster about 6:30-7:30 and then join you at the Peppermill, maybe closer to 7:30. (It's probably better to ride the rollercoaster first and then eat than visa-versa).

I think we have about 10-12 interested in the coaster, how many will want to stay for dinner I do not know, but save a couple nearby tables for us.

I think the side entrance near #8 on this map (left side) would be pretty good, it's close to the entrance to the garage, and would be easy to pick people up, if I'm remembering the layout correctly.

OK, those with cars and those who need rides for lunch at Ichiban on Thursday should be at the side entrance no later than 11:00 am. Well, you can be as late as you like, but I make no guarantees about either a ride or how much food will be left when you (finally) arrive. I won't be there, but if you see a small, confused Japanese lady, that's my mom and she should have room for 3 misanthropes, more if you are friendly. Anyone else who will be making their own way down to Bally's, Ichiban is waaaaay in the back by the Monorail station and the Sports Book.

PM me if you need more accurate directions or have questions.

I would be interested in going to a GOOD Mexican restaurant while in Vegas. Perhaps Lindo Michoacan (far from hotel, but has great reviews online) or even Cactus Jacks Saloon (a little closer, and looks like it might be good?). I live in central PA and there is a paucity of Mexican restaurants, and none that are authentic. And when I say I want a good Mexican restaurant, I mean one that is decently authentic and doesn't rely solely on lots of meat dishes (as I'm mostly vegetarian).

I'm probably going to one with or without other TAM goers, but it would be nice to have some company. And I don't know how you'd reach me after tomorrow morning as I won't have internet connection while I'm there. My avatar should be on my badge, if that helps.

Is the Peppermill worth a twice-in-TAM visit? I'm already slated to go there after P&T Sunday night.
 
Whoohoo! It was surely nice to meet all of you folks at the 777 Brewery and then stroll down to Fremont Street.
