Why do you want to perform this "experiment" with Americans instead of people in your own country? Why not demonstrate your alleged talent with a cooperative neighbor? Does Islam have a fatwa against duping other Moslems that does not apply to infidels?

ABR, you are on! But you will have to wait until the weekend as I am extremely busy at the moment.

Do you agree that we should retry on friday evening (for me, Kolkata, India time) or saturday?

One more thing ABR... am I allowed to record the phone conversation?

I had a friend claim he could read minds once. Turns out, he could correctly guess that I was thinking he was a douche whenever I rolled my eyes at him. He insisted the eye rolling had no bearing on the results. :rolleyes:

That aside, it seems English isn't abrs first language. That's going to present problems with just plain ole speakin' much less "mind reading"

The university where you convince a faculty member that you have the claimed ability will be able to provide such an affidavit. Which universities have you contacted?

Which universities have you contacted regarding your claim?

Are you incapable of locating a university?
 
My second trial with ABR:

I received two phone-calls from ABR today.

In the first I told him to call me back after 30 minutes, which he did.

The second was, as far as I can divine, the experiment.

It went like this (ABR, your view is very much appreciated here):

ABR: Hello, I am ABR from the experiment.
Me: Yes
<silence for 10 seconds>
ABR: Can you hear me?
Me: Yes, I heard you say "Hello, I am ABR from the experiment, and after that Can you hear me?"
<silence for 1 minute and 10 seconds> during which I heard background noise, indicating the line was still open.
<disconnected>

So, ABR, I most definitely could not hear your thoughts, but if you could hear mine, I was, on purpose, shouting in my mind, the food that I am going to eat.

If you want to, I can private message this to another member or moderator before you answer. This way I can not change my mind. I have the receipts with me for proof if necessary.

Do you want to guess the food that I tried 'shouting' at you with my thoughts?
