I found this interview on youtube with an Al Qieada guy(sry if I spelt it wrong).
This is just too daft,it must be a hoax right?

/me looks around.

I'm not seeing it. How 'bout a little help here? You can post links, you know...

This was featured on the Onion News Network, Why would you think that was a hoax?

I have no idea. I just found it on a random search. I hadn't heard of Onion, I will look it up. Thanks for the info.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but in case that link doesn't make it clear to you, The Onion is a satirical web site/newspaper/show. Asking if the content they produce is a "hoax" is a little like asking if the film This is Spinal Tap is a "hoax".

Yes I got that...again.
How many times are people gonna point this out

Funny but sad in hindsight.

Don't be ashamed or embarrassed. First off, you didn't get sucked in completely. You had the sense to come to a place where you knew you'd find people who know and ask if it was legit. Those are points in your favor and it's a good thing to remember the next time you find something that doesn't seem right.

Second, as you've already seen, The Onion has very high production values which easily rival "real" news networks. And their actors are very good at delivering their lines with a straight face. The Onion has successfully fooled a lot of people. You're no worse off than the rest of us. ;)
