Thursday Breakfast at the Garden Buffet

I agree with Scrut (on this one point, anyway). A bit later sounds better to me too. My starting time for breakfast will depend on how late I end up staying at the bar the night before, but 8:15 seems early in any case.

I'll just wander in whenever I can, look for the JREF group in the buffet, and ask the early risers' advice on what food to try and what to avoid.

Not sure I'm doing anything, GG; just making an announcement and seeing what develops. But I guess that is something, after all....

As for 8:15am, sorry if that interrupts anyone's beauty sleep (in Scruts' case, he needs a Rip Van Winkle treatment), but I normally Break Fast about 6:15am or earlier, so in my view I am being patient....but figure we'll spend 8:15-8:30 milling about and trying to locate each other and at least an hour eating and chatting, and that allows folks the rest of the morning and afternoon to do stuff and get registered for TAM. At least that was my thinking.

If others want to get together for a later breakfast call, I'm all for it. But someone else will have to "organize" it.

Body clock-wise, anyone arriving on Wednesday and traveling from somewhere east of Mesquite, NV should have a mighty loud grumbling stomach by 8:15-8:30.
 
Considering that I get up at 3.30am for one of my jobs, 8.15am is a wayyyyy late breakfast for me! :newlol
 
I volunteer at registration at 8:00. I can go to the buffet at 7:00 or between 9:30 and 10:30.
 
I vote for 8:15, and will look for folks at that time. As TsarBomba pointed out, my stomach will still be on East Coast time, or 11:15 am. I am sure I will be wide awake and ready to eat by then.

(Really? I'm the first to plumb that one? You guys worry about sleeping/eating times too much.)

I'm guessing the way it plays out is a fairly continuous flow of forumites coming and going from 8:15 'til going on noon.

It's all gonna work out.
 
Yeah, I could definitely do breakfast for the early shift, so count me in.

I decided today I won't be driving in my own car, but I am still anticipating arriving in the morning with plenty of hunger to go around.

(Formerly) tentative carpool plans put is in Vegas around 8-9am, so we'll see.
 
I think I'll be there.......
compared to sleeping in and having fun, I'll choose the "having fun" part.
But it depends on how much fun I've had the night before!:D
