Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

There are The Seven Books of Harry Potter, more written about him then Jesus in the Bible, so then with your logic Harry Potter is real.

Well, technically, the Bible is 66 books. A good argument could be made that only 4 are directly about Jesus, so there's still more books written about Harry Potter. And when you consider the total page count (Half-blood Prince was what, 3,000 pages?) HP defiantly wins.

My bible says Moses wrote Leviticus:

Leviticus 20:13 (King James Version)

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

And he probably did not write it.
Your Bible probably says the same thing for the Exodus or Deuteronomy, even if there is an account of Moses' death and burial at the end of Deuteronomy...

Who the tradition attribute the authorship of a text to has little to do with who actually wrote. That is true for John as much as for Moses, even if John is quite likely to have existed, whereas Moses, just as likely, never did.

I am presuming that on any occaison you have slept with a man you have not inserted your penis into his vagina

anyway, isn't this off topic, Leviticus is not new testament

I have not yey slept with men, but if I ever will, I will most sincerely try not to do that.

Since when did anything written in the NT become irrelevant to this thread? Aren't we discussing truth in the New Testament?? That's exactly what I shared here, truth the writers told in the NT. Sorry you do not want to hear it, but I wish you would listen as the Word of God is true and powerful!

No we are discussing evidence. Confessing that you have an imaginary friend is not evidence.
 
The words of Zeus/ Mithra's are very powerful and true too. According to the ancients.
That doesn't make them true in any way either. In fact their somewhat similar to Jeezus's sayings. :)

The New Testament DOES NOT by itself prove the New Testament as true. You vomiting forth verses is spamming and irrelevant garbage.

Sorry, I don't believe in fantasies.

Allow me to be tactful:

The thread is to present evidence that the new testament writers told the truth. Your post took it as a premise that they did. This is called begging the question. If you wish to participate, you need to present evidence that the new testaments were true.

Start with proving that the ressurection did happen.
Actually, start by proving that it is possible a person can die and then come back from the dead.

We know people can be revived after thier heart stops, but to be actually and truly brain dead and then come back is something completely different.

The anonymous authors of the babble wrote what they thought was the truth.

Not one of these authors ever met the Jesus they were writing about. It was all legend and myth mixed into a cocktail of word salads.
That a single educated person can believe anything in this salad about an actual historical event as the life of a messiah should really be ashamed of themselves.
