June Stundie Nominations

Well, I'll quote this:

...and invoke the rule that no one who wants a Stundie should be allowed to get one.

Well, okay, that's more of an opinion than a rule.

I nominated him. I thought his "Americans are so stupid they don't even know that 9/11/01 was the most important event of the 20th century" was a classic. It wasn't good enough to make the cut though.

I'm calling shenanigans on this one. The nominated woo-dolt, in this given instance, plainly and demonstrably made his (most likely) exculpatory "oh, yes, I really really really actually want a Stundie, really I do" posting AFTER being nominated, not BEFORE.

You're being played by a Twoofer, utilizing the well-worn "B'rer Rabbit" con. My advice: don't. ;)

Yes, but there's a growing sentiment that he's really just a troll, and not a real insanity-spewing twoofer moron.

Like this guy:

All the negative energy will now be felt at the height of the summer solstice

leemondo on the David Icke forum. Talking about the death of Michael Jackson. That happened four days after the "height of the summer solstice".

False dichotomy. Insanity-spewing Twoofer morons are, de facto, trolls. (SEE: "The Ultima1 Syndrome.") :D

Can we please postpone the ULTIMA1/troll speak until after this nomination period concludes? I nominated a doozy of his (no air in subway tunnels), and all this troll talk dillutes the perception of his powerful stupidity.

Thanks in advance for your support and care.

I honestly don't believe that anything in this time-space continuum could ever conceivably dillute the potency of U1's now legendary woo, by even so much as a single jot or joule... but: point well taken, nonetheless. ;) Deponent sayeth not on the matter until the end of this nomination period, I solemnly swear.

Cole Trickle on the Blackvault finds it suspicious that only one engine from the planes that hit the WTC towers was found. This is the one that exited the far side of tower 2 and bounced into the street.
He then goes further;
Surely you have a pic of the other engine, you know the one stopped by the flimsy as hell 30 ton core columns. Or did it get turned into dust in that pancake collapse along with the people, desks, chairs, phones, toilets, water pipes, joists, beds, file cabinets, computers, elevator doors, lets see what else!

There's a fine line, but I think this statement of his is just stupid enough, without going over the top, to be attributed to genuine, honest ignorance and not trolling.

If he were trolling he would say something like "subway tunnels are above street level", or "there's no such thing as gravity".

Or, "How are your oil delusions etc.? ".

I don't know. I'm pretty sure that a few months ago I posted an HONEST gravity denial post. (flat earth society)

I agree, I recall reading about a Moon Landing denier who said there was no gravity on the Moon. That by itself is dumb enough, but the reason they gave for the Moon having no gravity was that since the Moon has no atmosphere, it can't have gravity. The poster could have been a Troll, I guess, but that's not the impression I got. Sometimes it feels like most of the people on the internet can be divided into two categories: pretending to be stupid and actually stupid*. Both groups are sad commentaries on the human race in their own unique ways.

*In the interests of full disclosure I have been guilty of both offenses on this very site:o

Free fall acceleration can only happen in air, there can be no resistence.
Free fall acceleration can only occur in air! capish?
All your calculations cannot erase the fact that free fall can only happen in air. Do you understand that simple fact?

I have nothing to add.

ETA: Or, maybe I do... Apparently that second quote was his edited version. Here's the original:

Free fall acceleration can only occur in air. Deal with that fact and cut the denial double talk.

ETA #2: Yeah, I definitely do... I guess that means the Moon landings were most definitely a hoax, then.

Man, that guy is a genius. He just killed two conspiracies with one "fact".

Nominating hardy perennial woo smith Red Ibis, for splitting a hair so fine it virtually results in a nuclear reaction. :D

He admitted to being a murderer? From what I can tell those charges were dropped.

I don't want to get into a protracted semantics argument, but the charges were dropped. That they were later refiled does not change that.

I don't want to spoil the fun, but if you put the quotes in context they begin with this:

So I guess according to JW Wimpy a jailhouse cellmate's claim is the same thing as a confession. I sure hope you're not in the criminal justice system.

No, dear heart; your richly merited nomination has nothing whatsoever to do with the separate "is-he-a-murderer?" question, and everything in the world to do with your wholly bizarre personal beliefs, re: "the charges were dropped. That they were later refiled does not change that."

But you knew that, of course.

In other words: Catastrophic FAIL.

I don't want to hurt my chances here, but when the charges were refiled, were they exactly the same? Were they different? What's your source (besides SLC) about the refiling?
