From Rapture Ready

Uh no Rt I totally dislike all suffering in this world. So many suffer everyday around me and I myself suffer with chronic pain so how the heck can you even think I like it?

I am just being very voicedross as to warning people to repent and accept Jesus before it's too late! If you believed in the rapture of the church wouldn't you do the same?
If I believed in the rapture of the church, I would be convinced that God was the most evil thing in the universe and not worthy of worship.

Um....

That's not a word!

I am using this as uncontrovertible proof that Kurious Kathy refuses to listen, to learn, or to correct herself. This is not her first use of her made-up word that doesn't exist in any language, and not the first time she's been told it isn't the word she wants.

The word she wants is BOISTEROUS. But she won't admit it, for love, money, or salvation itself.

Way back in the good old days of so-called many gods, if one didn't work out for you, you just dump it and went on to another so-called god, oh for the good old days.

Paul

:) :) :)

Holy poopypants, that's funny. I saw that and simply thought, "she must mean vocal or something"....
wow.

Are you a preterist or something? If I saw Obama or some other world leader sign a peace treaty with Isreal then I may question some of my current beliefs, but for now I really believe that Christ will rapture his church before the 7 year tribulation period starts here on earth.

Kathy, I'm feeling quite ignored. If that was your intent, then you have succeeded. If that wasn't your intent, then how about addressing the question I posed to you in post #634? And if you choose to do so, please refrain from preaching at me, but answer from your heart and mind and intelligence.

Actually, I think the word she was reaching for is vociferous. But what do I know?

Yah I know sometimes it's hard for everyone to see God right when people suffer, but it's because sin does have penalties and this world is suffering because of that.

The fact remains that God has promised new life for those who love him is what gets me through it even when sometimes I don't like or understand why God allows so much bad to happen here in this life.

I would work to build an anti-God superweapon...like a Logical Contradiction Drive.

Your ignorance is irrelevant to how evil your beliefs are.

And according to you, he's also promised forever suffering for those who don't accept him through jesus. Indeed, you believe that you'll be lifted out of the world so that he can torture for 7 years those who aren't as good and holy as you are. And after those years, he'll send those to even further torture for eternity.

and you have the nerve to call this god good?

I have actually looked up this word before in the dictionary but I forgot how they spell it? I meant to voice my opinion and I think everyone knows that.

Someone recently told me that Mark Twain once said it best that there is more than one right way to spell in the English language, I must say I tend to want to agree with this point. I myself am more a phonic speller so I hope people can at least sound it out and know what I am trying to say.

Also I would like to reflect on song lyrics a lot and one that comes to mind is Stings "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" you can say I lost my fath in many things in this world, but I will never lose faith in God, Jesus is the one true thing that I know!

P.S. And now lets go back to a song that relfects the OP topic. Does anyone remember a song back in the 80's called,"Rapture"? I think Blondie or the Annie Lenox sang it but I'm not sure??

It could be either, you're right. Point is, both have been suggested, and both rejected, in favor of a made-up word. All she has to do is look them both up, pick the closest one, and use it.

I can't imagine why she persis--never mind. I forgot.

ETA: I deleted my comments because there is no use replying to this issue

The irony of KK using an atheist like Twain to support her poor spelling is truly amusing.

That word seems close in meaning but maybe I just made up my own word, now I can't remember. Haven't you ever been creative like that? I think I kind of take after my dad and he made up lots of his own silly words when I was growing up like,"Beautimous." I think it's kind of fun to be creative with words sometimes myself, don't you?

And many ask over and over why the word "rapture" isn't mentioned in the Bible, but it's meaning clearly is so that does seem pretty obvious to me. Think about it for a minute, there are many words used in the English language to describe the same thing so don't you think the meaning is what matters most even if the wording is a bit different at times?

"Rapture"

Toe to toe
Dancing very close
Barely breathing
Almost comatose
Wall to wall
People hypnotised
And they're stepping lightly
Hang each night in Rapture

Back to back
Sacrailiac
Spineless movement
And a wild attack

Face to face
Sadly solitude
And it's finger popping
Twenty-four hour shopping in Rapture

Fab Five Freddie told me everybody's high
DJ's spinnin' are savin' my mind
Flash is fast, Flash is cool
Francois sez fas, Flashe' no do
And you don't stop, sure shot
Go out to the parking lot
And you get in your car and you drive real far
And you drive all night and then you see a light
And it comes right down and lands on the ground
And out comes a man from Mars
And you try to run but he's got a gun
And he shoots you dead and he eats your head
And then you're in the man from Mars
You go out at night, eatin' cars
You eat Cadillacs, Lincolns too
Mercuries and Subarus
And you don't stop, you keep on eatin' cars
Then, when there's no more cars
You go out at night and eat up bars where the people meet
Face to face, dance cheek to cheek
One to one, man to man
Dance toe to toe
Don't move too slow, 'cause the man from Mars
Is through with cars, he's eatin' bars
Yeah, wall to wall, door to door, hall to hall
He's gonna eat 'em all
Rapture, be pure
Take a tour, through the sewer
Don't strain your brain, paint a train
You'll be singin' in the rain
I said don't stop, do punk rock

Well now you see what you wanna be
Just have your party on TV
'Cause the man from Mars won't eat up bars when the TV's on
And now he's gone back up to space
Where he won't have a hassle with the human race
And you hip-hop, and you don't stop
Just blast off, sure shot
'Cause the man from Mars stopped eatin' cars and eatin' bars
And now he only eats guitars, get up!

Which has frack-all to do with this....how?

Wait, I get it: God's from Mars and he eats our heads.

Well....some heads have been eaten, apparently; brains and all. Which explains so, so much.

No. It makes you look silly and a poor communicator.

Yes. So why isn't any similar term at all in the Bible? Hint: People made it up the early 20th century. Your beliefs are man-made fantasy.

The word, any word, has to have a meaning first. Go get me the dictionary definition of "voicetross," and we'll see if it's "a bit different" or if it plain isn't a word recognized by anyone, anywhere.

And answer my question:

Eelpaint comstumabliss, filk tw annopo abliglop darpinuba bhuuuu?

After all, I know what I meant. The wording's just a bit...different.
