TAM! Excellent job. Once I've finished the annoyingly heavy real-life workload that's just appeared, I'll add these to the file or the site somewhere so everyone can benefit. Thanks!

Here's an interesting FAA security log uploaded by History Commons. Something for everyone, too. Highlights include the first mention that Satam al Suqami shot Daniel Lewin; UAL 175 reported off radar over Indiana at 9:30 (a mixup in an FAA teleconference, I think); "plane into west side of the Pentagon" listed at 9:32, several minutes earlier than claimed; Delta 1989 mentioned hijacked at 9:45; Indiana State Police reporting a downed plane near the Ohio/ Kentucky border at 10:06 (a mixup re: flight 77); and flight 93 reported 20 miles from DC at 10:14 (Mineta's approaching plane).

NP. I did my best to go through them, and you were right, the files are hard to interpret. With that in mind, be aware there may be one or two interpretive errors in there, though I did my best to put a ? next to words I was really unsure of.

I am not sure if this has been covered, and it is not exactly a "commission" doc, but this place seems to be working as a good thread for announcing relevant documents.

I saw this one, from intelfiles website, from 2 weeks ago...

(warning PDF)

http://intelfiles.egoplex.com/2001-10-02-DOS-Qaeda-Overview.pdf

In a nutshell it is a briefing document sent out by the USG to all of its embassies world wide, informing them of their war on Al-Qaeda, and the case against them etc...

I've spotted a couple of interesting documents (from the History Commons uploads) on Jarrah and Hanjour, full of background detail: addresses used, timelines and activities, contacts, all kinds of things. It's interesting to see just how much flight training Hanjour took, for instance. Download the Jarrah document here, the Hanjour file here.

I noticed how Air Fleet still rented Hani a plane for a solo flight the day after the poor review on 5/30. So the truth is that they would take him on the "Hudson Tour" due to his poor flight skills. That was a :rule10 load of hours at the Pan Am acadamy.

Yes, then flew with an instructor and solo with Congressional Air at the end of August. That's inconvenient for the "Hani can't fly" script, though, so truthers mostly ignore it.

Just mentioning [cut out of URL due to JREF rules for newbies - note by progge] in this thread, too - it's a 9/11 Commission transcript of a line between the FAA at Herndon and the Washington Operations Centre, and helpful for answering questions like "when did the FAA learn about each hijacked plane?"

Mike is referring to a 9/11 Commission transcription of the 9/11 conversations between the FAA Washington Operations Centre (WOC) and Herndon, uploaded on 02/28/09. It´s called “Team 7 Box 7 WOC-NET Transcript”.

Thanks for this document, and all the other documents you provided.

This is from p. 2:

Another report, Continental 321 over South Bend en route Cleveland to Denver, squawked hijack three times, we have made contact with pilot and pilot has told us everything is OK. We are trying to determine why he squawked hijack.

And from p. 10:

Continental 321 on ground in Peoria, FBI approaching the air craft at this time.

Does anybody know more about this story? How likely is it that a pilot squawkes the transponder code for hijack (7500) three times without being hijacked? Does this frequently happen?

Very rare I have seen someone squawk it before unintentionally never seen anyone do it three times.

And one would think that would have resulted in a serious dressing down, if not an official reprimand or worse.

And one would think that would have resulted in a serious dressing down, if not an official reprimand or worse.

You would think, but you never know, here is an unrelated story but interesting...

Back in the early 90’s there was an Aeroflot departing Dulles with their flaps down this was once a way to advise the tower that the aircraft was under duress. There was a famous Russian Dancer on board, and there was a concern that maybe someone on board might want to defect. They let the aircraft depart, but when the aircraft got within 60 miles of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, just inside US Airspace, the state department requested Boston Center to not let the aircraft leave US Airspace. We put the aircraft in a hold and waited further instructions.

We were requested to ask the pilot if he wanted to squawk 7500, so we asked and he responded with “Roger Squawking 7500”. You can’t imagine how many we calls we received in about 30 seconds, from NEADS, the Canadians, Canadian NORAD, all wanting to know if Aeroflot was a hijack.

We then connected the state department to the aircraft via a phone bridge. We couldn’t hear the state department as they were communicating with the pilot, the Russian pilot was responding in Russian, and what we heard, well I don’t speak Russian, but if you have ever heard of the term a “Mad Russian”, well that is what it sounded like.

So we ended up delaying the plane for about 30 minutes, for no reason, the pilot had accidently taxied with his flaps down.

What does that have to do with squawking 7500 three times probably nothing, but unless you hear the whole story you never know, the pilot could have been trying to test it just to see if it works, based on what was going that morning, ATC may have requested it, don’t know, but people, governments and agencies all do strange things sometimes

911 evidence, the stuff ignored by 911Truth because they are too busy apologizing for terrorists to do real research

The do, indeed! There is a similar story for 9/11, as the pilots from Korean Air Flight 85 squawked hijack just to signalize their awareness of the 9/11 hijackings (cf. Spencer, Touching History, pp. 257, 277 et seq.), which was certainly a bizarre idea.

That was stupid; but it happens. A great way to see some fighters on 911 and get an escort to the most remote airport they can find for you.

I've uploaded a 9/11 Commission document that History Commons located, and which contains the following email from Mike Morse of the TSA:

Carla - Suggest you forward this to DoJ immediately. As the airman certification information previously provided to FBI and provided by us to John, concerning AL SHEHRl, appears to NOT BE RELEVANT TO THE HIJACKER OF THAT NAME.

Accordingly the At Shehri information needs protection from a personal privacy point of view.

Michael A. Morse, Manager
Special Actions & Litigation Support Staff
Associate Under Secretary for Aviation Security Operations
[TSA/ACS-90] (202)267-9771

Here's the email alerting Morse to the problem:

Subject: AL-SHEHRI, Waleed Ahmed
Author: Mark Sweeney
Date: 5/8/2002 12:40 PM

We were recently notified that Waleed Ahmed AL-SHEHRI, ssn [redacted]
who had been identified by the FBI as one of the 19 terrorists had been issued a medical certificate in February 2002. Our office contacted the FBI who interviewed Mr. AL-SHEHRI and discovered he was not one of the hijackers but was in fact a pilot for a Saudi Diplomat and was very much alive. The identity of the hijacker was in fact Waleed Mohamed AL-SHEHRI who is not certificated by the FAA.

For AMC-760, please remove the "no mail" restriction.

Mark Sweeney, AMC-730
Internal Security & Investigations Division

Yet another reminder that the story of the "still alive" Mr al Shehri wasn't ignored, and that he is not the same person as the man named as a hijacker.

...And probably another step closer to the day when truthers in general quietly drop the "still alive" angle, and move to the easier-to-defend "but you've not proved his real identity" position, instead.

Remember Fetzer, at that conference, claiming the hijackers were still alive, claiming he would use his luggage to beat them up...

Ah the memories of 2006. So boring now.
