The PG Film - Bob Heironimus and Patty

This is ridiculous. What do you make of SETI then Yeti? They search for solid, repeatable evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence, yet they are quite adamant that the UFO phenomenon as it stands is worthless of scientific study to that end.

Hey....that would make a cool username......"SetiYeti".

So, why haven't we detected alien radio signals yet???
I don't know why. But, I do know the Universe is unimaginably vast.....and along with that fact....the possibilities are unimaginably vast.

(In other words, John Boy....our lovely Universe has potential. ;) )

That being the case....I see no reason to 'laugh-off' the notion of alien life.

But if you feel the need to laugh....go right ahead. I can laugh at you, just as easily. It's a perfectly level 'playing field'.

You may like to search the site for 'Cydonia' too.

You seem to be unable to separate reality from pseudo-scientific nonsense and popular tabloid tripe.

Rejecting silly fantasies as evidence for life in the universe is not the same as rejecting the fascinating possibility that life may well exist elsewhere.

There is no real problem here, John.....you live in your small Universe....I'lll live in my very large Universe. :) There's plenty of room for the both of us.....and a few extraterrestrials.

Oh yeah the old rotating dolls hand. Stands as one of the more innane contributions to the skeptic community. I actually stood on my head watching that thing and trying to convince myself that it could pass itself as mimicing a real hand clenching. It didn't work. Neither did fast motion, slow motion, alcohol, opium, peyote and caffine to bend my senses to allow that thing to clench. I believe Tube made it just goes to show they can't all be gems.

The first question needs to be are the fingers truly bending or do they appear to because of motion blur and/or shadows? So far that has yet to be shown.

The next question needs to be can the position of a non-moving hand have the appearance of different finger positions when rotated and viewed at different angles and the film is blurry? Whoever posted that doll's hand in different positions did a good job of showing that.

Thanx, wolftrax. :)

I can use those 2 examples for my collection, highlighting...... "Roger's Lucky Streak"...

I'm compiling a long list of all of the skeptics' explanations for the movements (thigh movement, thigh pop-up bulge, calf bulges, finger movement, toe movement) that can be seen on Patty.....movements which skeptics try to explain away as only..."illusions"....:(...caused by everything from 'shadows' and 'blurs'......to 'high tides in Puerto Rico'. :boggled:

LOL. :D Did you try the good 'ol "Jref method", Crow?.... :covereyes

It never fails!

There's an interesting contradiction in people's thinking. While many people will agree (as you just stated) that... "it's very likely (alien) life exists elsewhere in the universe".....they'll also scoff, laugh and giggle at the idea that... " (alien) life has visited the Earth, or Mars".

But yet.....there is no basic difference between those 2 postulates.

Intelligent, alien :boxedin: life can.....potentially.....exist ANYWHERE in this universe.

Again....it's only people with small minds who will laugh at the possibilities that exist in a near-limitless universe.

Physics limits the possibilities.

You missed paredolia.

And Crow is doing a good job ad homming.

Maybe you're more of a hommingbird than a crow.... I crack me up! :D

Sorry...couldn't resist the pun. ;)

Physics limits the possibilities.

As far as we know, presently....the speed of light appears to be a 'speed limit'.

But, since our understanding of particle physics and the basic forces of nature is so lacking...(scientists don't even fully understand how gravity works, yet)....who knows whether 'light speed' is truly a limiting speed.

We may think we're 'highly advanced', technologically....but, looking back only about 100 years ago...

"In 1896, Alexander Popov made wireless transmissions across 60 m and Guglielmo Marconi, around the same time, made a transmission across 2.4 km. John Fleming invented the first radio tube, the diode, in 1904."

....you can see we're only in the early stages of 'technological development'.

Just think how much more advanced (than we are) a civilization would be, that developed 10,000, or 100,000 years before us.... :eye-poppi

Where is the film subject clenching a fist?

That explains so much!!!

Wolf as the standard positionof the PGF subject's hand is basically open the only movement that can be discussed would be the hand moving from an open to a closed or partially closed position as is indicated in some of the frames. Clenched is not entirely accurate to say but its a less combursome term than partially closed or variations of such. Furthermore it is understood that everyone is sufficiently familiar with the film to know that a full clenched hand has never been a topic of discussion and does not appear in the film.

Well we can't base anything on what might be discovered. We have to deal with the world as it is now.

This post sounds like and argument from science fiction.

No, that is not the only 'point', or question which needs to be analysed.

If it was determined that Patty's arms were several inches loooooooooonger than an average human's, or Bob's arms.....the next question to be considered would be how Patty's fingers managed to bend, and what the likelihood would be of Roger incorporating such a device into the hands of the "suit".
(Remember Bob H. has never mentioned anything about any type of remote-controlled fingers in his alleged suit.)
You know something Yeti, your De-Nile Dance need some new steps. You've been doing it to long, you're starting to get rusty, boring more likely. Why don't you try some new steps? As a matter of fact you have dodged that simple question so long that I'm starting to think there's something wrong with one of those last two brain cells you have left.
