So THAT'S who's been raiding my smokes...![]()
Oh and you think that's a good thing? I often think if my parents had not got divorced and raised me to know God through his Word I would not have had to learn so much the hard way. I was once so lost in this world, but Jesus changed that. Now I am set free and forgiven. The truth of Christianity is Jesus, he is the way! No other religion has Jesus right that's why we know they aren't true! The only way to the Father is through the Son!!
Hmm, must be the non-ratings season.

She doesn't comprehend ratings.![]()
Yes, Kathy, questioning things is a good thing. A very good thing.Oh and you think that's a good thing?

Kathy cannot and will not accept responsibility for what happens in her life. And in the end, in spite of this, she shows up on a board like this, declaiming, "IT'S ALL ABOUT MEEEEEEEE!"
Well, religion, like lots of woo, is a fine way to mold the universe in your image.
Judaism and Christianity have archeological evidence and facts that demonstrate history as described in the Bible is true and correct. Other religions that have historical aspects to their writings dealing with people and places have no support in many cases. Mormonism for example, describes many people and places that have never verified by archeology or anthropology. Whereas the Bible has been used, and continues to be used, as a guide to find the ruins of cities and civilizations because it has been demonstrated over and over to be correct in its accounts and descriptions of history.
You know you've found the right religion when God hates the same people you do.

Two words: cherry pickingJudaism and Christianity have archeological evidence and facts that demonstrate history as described in the Bible is true and correct.

If nobody had ever questioned anything, where would we be now? Still looking up at the sky in fear when it thunders, wondering how to appease the great gods above who we must have angered. Somebody, sometime, had to question whether that was really what thunder was all about. And now we know exactly what causes it.
Just like we now know why the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, because somebody questioned the idea that the sun revolved around us. Something about it just didn't quite make sense to them, and they looked around and saw evidence that perhaps what they had been taught and raised to believe might not be quite accurate. They did some studying, performed some experiments, and voila! Earth revolves around sun. Basic scientific principles that began with someone [b/questioning something[/b]!
So you can live your life just blindly believing whatever you're told by your church and your pastor, closing your eyes and covering your ears and saying "la la la la la la" whenever you hear something that might call your beliefs into question. The rest of us prefer to question what we've been told to see what might be behind the curtain. And we're happy to do so. And sad for you.
It's only better if God exists, and the god you believe in is the one that exists. If there is a god of truth, he should be revealed by truth.Christians may not know everything, but we know the one that does and he is not a liar. Better to believe God than not.
Many of the people who claim to know what God thinks and what God wants definitely are liarsChristians may not know everything, but we know the one that does and he is not a liar.
But better not to believe the people who claim to know what God is saying.Better to believe God than not.
