All it says is that Patty's arm length can be equal to the arm length of a person who has been unlucky enough to become engulfed in ratty, re-cycled carpeting.



Oh....(I just remembered).....it does say that Bob's head is just a tad too large to have fit inside of Patty's.

There is a major discrepancy.

In this image, Patty is seen more from the rear, than Bob is....(according to the Poser 7 skeletons).
You can see this very easily, by the wider distance between the shoulder blades on Patty/Fric...compared to the more closely-spaced shoulder blades on Bob/Frac.


So that should mean, according to you...that your elliptical-shaped diagram (and resultant distortions) would apply to the skelton overlayed on Patty, moreso than on Bob.


That being the case....Patty's/Fric's upper arm, seen in the forward part of it's swing....

But yet..........Patty's upper-arm appears longer than Bob's upper-arm.



The 'upper-arm lengths' in mangler's animation are contradictory....BACKWARDS.....from what your "viewed from the rear", elliptical diagram says they should be. :)


Another look at your statement, above...with an added comment, by me...


As the camera addresses the subject more and more to the rear, the perceived length of the "backswing" arm gets longer and longer. (...and the length in the forward half of the swing gets shorter and shorter.............only occasionally. :( )

The discrepancy between neltana's diagram, and the apparent lengths of Patty McBunny's and Bob's arms is actually doubled, because Bob's arm is seen in it's backswing, which....according to nelly's diagram, should make it appear longer than it would if it was in the forward part of it's swing.

Double the discrepancy......double the fun! :D


Go ahead.....Drew.....trash it! Point out the errors!

It does though leave us with Phil Morris looking the "shemile" and Bob H as the "shemozle". Lighting, camera, season and sod not withstanding.

For those who don't know shemile/shemozle (SP) in Yiddish it means ..a shemile is the guy who spills his soup and a shemozle is the guy he spills it on.

6 pages and 184 posts later, Sweaty has time to colour individual letters of text but he doesn't have 15 seconds to hang a pencil then paper in front of his face per post #1400. I can't imagine being that determined not to understand something.

Which means you did not pay attention when I rebutted that argument with definitive measurements. You have yet to show that claim to be accurate. For some reason you ignore any evidence that shows you are wrong and then repeat the same ridiculous statements over and over again. Keep trying to convince yourself that you are right because that is the only person that you are convincing.

Sweaty, the arm is foreshortened. See the dozens of posts already explaining this phenomenon, specifically the ones addressing this point, which you raised somewhere above and which various members, including myself, have already rebutted.

See? That wasn't so hard. So if Dfoot's arm appears to be as long as Patty's in that comparison picture, what does that say about Patty's arms? I'd imagine that for someone who's adamant about Patty's arms being longer than a human's (average or otherwise), they'd insist that it was just an illusion.

As for your comments about Gimlin not cashing in by writing a tell-out book:

Seeing as how Greg Long's book detailing an interview with the alleged man in the suit (aka the star of the film) wasn't a bestseller, why one Earth would a book by Gimlin sell any better?

Not to mention that he might be contractually bound to not write such a book as a result of whatever profit-sharing agreement he and Mrs. Patterson came up with when he sued for his share.
