On 9/11 Ted Olsen, Solicitor-General of the United States received two calls from his wife Barbara Olsen who was a passenger on flight 77,He reported that the calls had lasted about one minute each. She asked for his adivce aparently and told him about the boxcutters that the hijackers were using.

But at the Zacharias Moussauwi trial the FBI admitted that the phone records showed that there had been only ONE call......lasting 0 seconds . O seconds ? So was Ted Olsen lying ?

So instead of answering BigAl's post about why you would only post an 8 minute clip of a 3 hour video with no explanation, but simply go on to another totally different point(that has of course already been debunked)? You're getting the conspiracy theory tactics down pretty good.

Any fool can see that the clip I posted had precise relevence to the conversation that had gone before. Particularly he wiki link from MikeW which was virtually a word-for-word textual representation of the clip..

What is your point? Are you making this assertion in order to try to make the point that there were no hijacked planes? When considered in the context of all we know about 9/11. That is a very stupid claim.

Adults present a hypothesis and then marshal all the logic and evidence in support of that claim.

Bill and the Half Truth Movement don't do that. Bill just throws ◊◊◊◊ against the wall and when it fails to stick, he just looks for more ◊◊◊◊ to toss.

Bill might be interested to know that a workmate of mine was on that plane and made a phone call. His wife is very upset at the people that make the loony claims that he is somehow still alive or part of or a victim of some conspiracy.

On the other hand, I doubt that Bill cares about the thousands of people that were and are close to the events of 9/11.

Perhaps, but I would have preferred you answered BigAl's question first. He made a good point.

I'm saying hat it looks like Ted Olsen was lying. Considering that he was the Solicitor-General of the United States and a close personal friend of george Bush I would say that that is highly significant. I didn't realise that other calls had been made. I ust look that up. Sorry about your workmate.

By the way I think we should investigate dispassionately these days without resorting to tear-jerking. That seems to be becoming a theme amongst you government supporters lately. Enough time has passed since 9/11 to have no worries on that score any more.

There is lots of evidence for the standard explanation for 9/11 that you "don't realize". Until you "realize" the massive amount of evidence for the fact that 19 Islamists hijacked 4 commercial jets and crashed them into buildings, using loony claims to demand an investigation and to justify claims of conspiracy and treason by the Bush administration and thousands of first responders is wrong and you look silly when you do it.

They must have had Barbara's number to now it was '0 seconds' Or Ted's....doesn't really matter anyway. '0 seconds' is enough to show that Ted was lying.

Didn't the NYT and the Washington Post do big stories on this ?

The records available for the phone calls from American 77 do not allow for a determination of which of four “connected calls to unknown numbers” represent the two between Barbara and Ted Olson, although the FBI and DOJ believe that all four represent communications between Barbara Olson and her husband’s office (all family members of the Flight 77 passengers and crew were canvassed to see if they had received any phone calls from the hijacked flight, and only Renee May’s parents and Ted Olson indicated that they had received such calls). The four calls were at 9:15:34 for 1 minute, 42 seconds; 9:20:15 for 4 minutes, 34 seconds; 9:25:48 for 2 minutes, 34 seconds; and 9:30:56 for 4 minutes, 20 seconds. The times match the Moussaoui exhibit, so we know that at the time of the report "the FBI and DOJ believe that all four [calls] represent communications between Barbara Olson and her husband’s office".

Where in the Moussaoui exhibit does it say this has changed?

Very interesting Mike. It seems obvious that Al's friend's wife should now come forward to assist the FBI in their investigations. In the interests of the investigation Al I hope you will be SURE to contact her about this. Maybe they will contact you themselves when they read this. Another breakthrough even at this late stage.

The shortest of those four calls was 1;42. At the Moussaoui trial the FBI said that the two calls between the Olsens (that Ted attested to) showed only one call connected for a dutation of '0 (zero) seconds.

What has changed Mike...is that a 'zero second' call does not allow for any information about boxcutters to be imparted and is therefore a strong indicator that Ted Olsen was lying.

What should I tell her? That some loon on the Internet says the Gub'mint killed her husband but that nothing he says that can be fact-checked makes sense?

When a phone calls another phone the provider directs say one seven-digit number to another seven digit number. Very very precise stuff. Would yoou care to tell me how the two seven digit numbers are conjoined and only one is remembered ? In FOUR calls ?

Sigh....The shorthest of those four calls was 1:42 seconds and Barbara's call(s) was specifically said to be 0 (zero) seconds by the FBI at the Moussaoui trial. The FBI said this. That is a HUGE change.

No Al...you should tell her to contact the FBI right away to tell them that she knows who made at least one of those calls. They didn't know about the call you mention you see. Ask Mike if you don't believe me. If they read this they may well contact you themselves so maybe you should give her a heads-up so she is not too shocked when they knock on her door..
