Question about the Rapture Index at RaptureReady.Com

The index is calculated by looking at 45 different factors and assigning each one a score between 1 and 5 based on the most recent events in the world. Some are rather straightforward (e.g. Satanism, Occult, earthquakes) but some are less obvious. Civil Rights is one category I am having a hard time understanding. Does it mean Christians losing civil rights; Christians gaining civil rights; or atheists, homosexuals, and their ilk gaining civil rights?

I poked around the website and cannot find an answer. Any help would be appreciated.

Back in the day, I read through that, and even as a believer, I found such indexes to be a waste of time. The whole idea is to lay claim to "information" which really does not exist. It's just one more thing someone can claim as a step up above someone else.

I understand the curiosity, but couldn't we all just read Phil's blog for something worth knowing?

It isn't ordinarily that time consuming. I stop by there about once a year to look at the numbers. I was curious about a specific score so I looked around and when I couldn't find it I started a thread here.

Being as lazy as I am, I will simply ask the people who have visited this site, do they maintain a graphical representation of peaks and troughs in the index, and perhaps an exponential curve to see where the whole thing is going (or historically, has moved?)

What troughs and peaks exist are there for show. It's simply there to give the paranoid a thrill.
