So MSM publicity would mean two things to troofers:
1. They would be exposed as frauds to a larger audience
2. They could no longer whine about mainstream media ignoring them.

Though I suppose they could pull Alex Jones' smear/hit piece club out of the bag to deal with #2.

It is. We've shown before that about 5% of the population answer "very likely" to MIHOP/Controlled Demolition theories while ~10% answer "somewhat likely". The 30% comes from LIHOP questions, where 16% answer "very likely" and 20% answer "somewhat likely". This gives truthers all the reason they need to claim "over a third of Americans think 9/11 was an inside job."

Where do you get the idea we are afraid of someone's finding out the truth (as opposed to Da Twoof?)

The truth, defined as "reality" would actually help me, because people would realize that it all happened because the Shrub and Cheney and Rummy were useless as defenders of the national security.

As for Da Twoof, we are afraid of it for the same reason that some people were afraid of Schickelgruber in 1923.

Perhaps, if your definition includes anyone who has ANY Doubts whatsoever, about each and every detail of that day.

If you take 1000 people, and ask them the simple question,

Who was responsible for the 9/11 attacks?

(A) Osama Bin Laden
(B) Israel
(C) The US Government
(D) China

You will get a breakdown like this...

(A) 80%
(B) 8%
(C) 11%
(D) 1%

However, if you ask this question,

Some evidence points towards the involvement of the USG in allowing the 9/11 attacks to occur. Which of the following groups were involved in the 9/11 attacks:

(A) Al Qaeda
(B) The US Government
(C) Pakistan
(D) Israel

you will likely get a much different answer.

So did you ask the FBI, back in 2007 when you sent them an FOIA request, for those crime scene reports? If so, who (what agent) responded to your inquiry, and what did he/she have to say. got a copy of that FOIA request?

Leaving aside all the blather about "evidence" of MIHOP. I find it troubling whenever any group of sociopaths and deluded morons gather to work toward a common goal.

Insurrections have started from such things. The most significant of thewse occurred about eighty years ago and it almost destroyed civilization as we know it in Europe

4.6% of the population answered MIHOP when asked what they thought happened and IIRC about % 25 said LIHOP thus about 30% of the population believes truther theories, but the number who are actually involved is much smaller.As has been pointed out the small number of attendants at their events and dismally low vote for Paul and McKinney indicated the number of actual truthers is quite low.

I think they are largely harmless, a small number have turned violent but I assume they were nuts before they got into the "movement". Despite some idiotic talk on forums and occasionally at events - I've seen no evidence any of their groups are really prone violence

according to this the NTSB reports have been released

look, theres even links for you to download PDFs of the reports

the NTSB must have seen your post...oh wait, these were released in 2006
