Sincere annual statement I've been making at least since TAM 2:

TAM virgins. Post your friggin' picture. Something relatively recent and one that captures what you will look like in person. That way people won't look at you and wonder who you are or try to subtly look at your credentials, they'll just walk up and say hello to you. If you've got visible tats, crazy hair or a t-shirt you're planning on wearing during Thursday meet and greets, make sure to capture that in the photo. This is especially true for average, 30-40ish, 6'ish white guys because we tend to be the majority at TAMs.
