I'm waiting to hear back from the JREF about something before I actually register but I just booked the hotel room. My room mate and I are looking forward to 10K runs at 5 AM everyday, before it gets too hot.

I'm waiting to hear back from the JREF about something before I actually register but I just booked the hotel room. My room mate and I are looking forward to 10K runs at 5 AM everyday, before it gets too hot.

We usually head out to go running at about 6:00am, and the temp is just starting to get hot right about when we finish. So while you'll definitely be fine at 5:00am, you can probably opt to get an extra hour of sleep and still be OK.

And if you get a chance, go out to Red Rock early one morning for a spectacular change of pace. You need to pack a lot of water with you, though. We had to cut our run short last year because we blew through our bottles quicker than expected and there weren't any places to refill.

Seriously, I'm coming -- registered, hotel, and flight. Despite some recent issues with USAirways, who canceled the lovely 4:30 p.m Sunday direct flight home and re-booked me on a 6:30 a.m. flight without actually notifying me. Argh.
