"Rescue Me" Show on FX Starts 9/11 CT Plot-line

As a debunker you enjoy several advantages:

a) alternative theories are extraordinarily difficult for most people to accept at face value.

b) the gov't controls what happens to the evidence and determines who provides the scientific analysis.

c) almost all discussion of such theories, especially here, are disparaged as conspiracy theories, regardless of how lacking or contradictory official explanations are.

Think of all those accident investigations done by the NTSB over the years. Think of all the criminal investigations done by the FBI. Now conjure up at random any "alternative theory" of the crime or incident being an "inside job" or cover up, regardless of how dubious and insane the "alternative theory" is, and see if it isn't similarly "disadvantaged."

Here's an IMDB article about a very special episode of the Fresh Prince of Bel Aire. A couple of points about this:

This is a cricially acclaimed and popular show that started off its first season with an episode about a couple of guys Who were up to no good

I can only imagine the enormous amount of vetting that had to go on to allow the writers to startin makin trouble in my neighborhood

I got in one lil fight and my mom got scared and this was by no means arbitrary.

your auntie and uncle in bel Air created the show so this has been included in the series with his knowledge and consent.

Yo Homes smell ya later

How shallow and pathetic are the minds of those that get excited by a plot line of a TV show which relates to their own fantasy?

And what are we to make of those who take potshots over a news item?

A "news" item, Red? Really? A space filler in the media section of a newspaper is a news item? Most people would call that a feature article.

Hey Red, the Tribune published a hard hitting piece this week about Friday Night Lights, it was much longer than this feature you cited. Under your line of thinking fictional high school football is much more important than fictional inside jobby job, right?

News articles about TV shows are to News as The Truth Movement is to the truth.

It takes a rational mind to dig up the investigations.

I shouldn't be surprised, but an impressive display of pedantry, nonetheless.

lol wut

you replying to me? because that response is more obscure than most of your posts, and that is really saying something.

Secondly, Sunjata suggests that firefighters do discuss the possibility of an Inside Job.
And if anyone's qualified to know what real FDNY firefighters think it's an actor who plays a firefighter on TV!

The mind boggles at truther "logic".

BTW RedIbis, still waiting for the name of a single firefighter who thought there were bombs in the WTC, only to be told what to think later.

Now that fictional FDNY firefighters on a low rated cable tv show are expressing doubts about what really happened on 9/11 can real firefighters be far behind in questioning the official story? This might be the breakthrough the movement has been waiting for!

Such are the pathetic hopes of the truth movement whose last representation on cable was a demented arms dealer who ranted about the “inside job” and played chicken foot (a variant of Russian roulette) when he got high on drugs.

The glory days of Rosie's 9/11 outbursts on "The View" are gone, alas. :(

So is this called the Peter Bergman Fallacy? The old "I'm not a doctor firefighter, but I play one on TV." endorsement?

Did anyone see that episode of "rescue me" that is supposed to be about 9/11...

Conspiracy theories?

What do you think people will make of it? ANd the lies being spready by Sunjata both in real life and on the show.

btw i have not seen it.

Doesn't it bother truthers that Sunjata's character appears to be using 9/11 truth as a "dazzle them with :rule10" tactic to score with the hot chick? Isn't that demeaning the people who died, to use the belief that the perps have escaped to bag some tail? Don't truthers understand that the series appears to be playing Sunjata and his character both for a fool?

On tonight's episode, Sunjata's character gets put in his place by a 9/11 firefighter's widow;

"Don't you make my dead husband into your 'hobby'"

/agree

Yep.

That's all this issue is to trooferz.

For the most part, they don't care either way. It's just a hot button that trolls can use to inflame others, so that they can get their rocks off argueing.

Some are politically motivated due to their hatred of Bush and/or guv in general.

Some are nuts.

Some are just stupid.

The writers are saved making up lines for a nut case character. Sunjata is allowed to improvise and spew anti-intellectual tripe like all 911 liars. They did not have to research the nut case ideas; Sanjata already makes them up for them.

I have the feeling the best entertainment’s going to come when it finally dawns on Sunjata that he’s being played for the fool he is.

I love when he rants at the end about being "well read" and how that just means they read the same crazy books. I know! Its so annoying when someone tells me they;ve done a lot of research, and then I find out all that really means is reading a bunch of truther books and watching truther films.
