Well it's official. the Digital TV change over is postponed untill June 12.

It's really no big deal, Unless you are a broadcaster, but what I am taking issue is with the reason for the delay. The official reason is that the Nielson's co. and Obama feels that the American public is not yet ready for the change over. Well I got news for Obama and Nielson. The American public is not going to be anymore ready for the change over in June than they are right now for February.

I think we all know what the problem is. Procrastination. Everybody always waits untill the last minute to do anything. I mean just look at April 15. Everbody always waits untill April 14 to do thier taxes.

Mark my words. When June comes around everybody is still going to be in the same situation as they are in now in February.

Just do it already and everybody who does not have cable or satellite will go running down to Wal-Mart to buy the converter. They're planning to do it in June anyway. You'll see.

Shees!

Talk about "saw this one coming."

Fortunately the station I work for has paperwork in for a waiver - that way we can give the finger to our elderly, incarcerated, and apathetic viewers and take our two NTSC transmitters off the air on Feb. 17th anyway.

They've already got paperwork in for 3 temp receptionists to help man the telephones the day analog goes tits up. Boy, I can't wait. Of course with my luck, they'll all get routed back to the master control room where I work.

I gots to have my NASA TV! The best government sponsored sleep aid since CSPAN 1 and 2.

I love NASA, but bless thier souls, watching a satellite being unloaded from a flat bed truck at 3:00am is only interesting to less that .001%* of the global population.

*Which is probably just me.

Hell, I've never wanted this. I just watch TV for Pittsburgh Steelers' games anyway. Why do I want to spend more money just to get reception for a game I'm probably going to miss because I'm at work anyway?

Why yes it has! Those damned Ultra-leftwing, liberal, communist, spend-0-crat satanists.

uh..I mean D'OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wrote the title and forgot what the date was set back to. I made a quick check and put the correct date in the body of the post whilst deftly forgetting to correct the title. Thank you MR MERIDIAN for reminding me what an idiot I am!!! Good day to you sir!!!

The local Fox affiliate is still going through with the change on February as scheduled. I don't about the other networks because they don't have a smoking hot weather girl on their morning shows, so I don't watch them outside of prime time.

If Canada switches over this month then does that mean all we'll have to watch is crappy Canadian television? How many hockey games and "Win a Hundred Dollars" quiz shows can a person watch. :(

I think the fact that it's gotten so much coverage, due to it being pushed back, will probably cause more people to be informed about the change over.

ROFL!!
