2112? Then we could really blame Canada.
Let's not "RUSH" into these things.
2112? Then we could really blame Canada.
Nah! The world ended at midnight December 31, 1999. It's just that everyone was having such a good time that nobody noticed.![]()
There is no conspiracy theory: It is simply that on a certain date in December 2012, looking from the Egyptian pyramids, the rising Sun will exactly align with the centre of our Galaxy on the day of the completion of the precessional movement.
<snippy>
Would this be the pyramid of Djedefre at Abu Rawash or the pyramid of Senwosret II at Lahun? They're 53 nautical miles apart on a North/South line which would produce a difference of almost one degree when observing the moment of sunrise. One degree, when projected out to galactic distances is, going to amount to quite an error, isn't it?
More detailed claim please. This one is pathetic.
I will bet anybody any amount of money at any odds, that the world isn't going to end in 2012 (or any other year, for that matter).
If I lose, how are you going to collect?
If you think it is pathetic, I take it you subscribe to the conspiracy approach, or have a total ignorance of the mountain of literature on the subject.
I don't care about your silly conspiracies or this literature you're referring to......
There is no conspiracy connected with the precession.
The literature will point you to a specific alignment with the Galaxy centre on the known date.
As to geometry and geography, are you sure you know what you are talking about?
......The literature? Isn't there more than one? What if I read the wrong one?......
You will, of course, have to read 'precessional' literature!

I stated that the northernmost and southernmost pyramids in Egypt are 53 nautical miles apart and that this would produce an angular difference with respect to observations of sunrise. Yeah, I'm pretty confident, but since you're having trouble understanding, would you like me to draw you a picture?
......Now respond to the bit you snipped:
Some scientists have predicted that the sun will go supernova in about 15 billion years, wiping out everything in this solar system.
Oddly enough, I have a dentist appointment that day.
It all depends where you make the observation.
