Moderated UnrepentantSinner's List - TAM 7

Have:
Offer of accomodation in LA for a few days prior to the event. Not sure whether this includes transport from LA to Vegas. Thanks HCMom!

Offer of shared accomodation at the event. Thanks UnrepentantSinner!

A couple of hundred AU$ saved up. With today's exchange rate this equals about US$23.50.

Need:
A couple hundred more AU$, and to apply for scholarship when that becomes available.

To book flight to US and back.

To apply for visa.

Willing:
To prostitute myself to get to TAM.

To be general dogsbody and gofer for anyone who needs it while there.

To take many photographs.

I'd like to come, but I'm going to need financial assistance...

Do you still have your PayPal account? I wonder if we couldn't set up a targeted telethon thread in Events or Community and nickel and dime sufficient donations to cover your costs.

Need:
A couple hundred more AU$...

I'll bring some extra US$ for your time in Vegas. Let me know if you need any help with JREF membership or registration.

Have:

Need:

To apply for visa.

If you are an Australian citizen, you don't need a visa for a tourist visit less than 90 days, although a new requirement is you have to fill out an electronic form 72 hours before you go. Just jump on the plane and go. Of course if you have a criminal record or whatever maybe you need a visa, but that's none of my business. ;-)

Need:

Financial help--probably. Come February I should start digging myself out of a "two months without work" hole that may take a while. Not sure if I will be far enough on the un-negative side to make it. If I do can I return monies for those who may not be as far along?

Will put in an application too.

Would probably need a room/mate as well, have to figure out a couple other things first though.

Have:

A car with lots of luggage space (Subaru). I can offer rides from Central California and south to/from TAM.

Ability to help where-ever needed. I am handy with a lot of things and have some experience producing stage shows (small time/university drama groups).

Whatever else is needed, or just hang out and have a good time.

If you have one of the new, chipped passports, you can get into the US without a visa. If you don't, you still have to apply. I don't.

Time to revive this thread, it appears.

Need or have (depending on who else already has):
A hotel room from Tuesday July 7 'till Tuesday the 14th. Non-smoker myself, but I don't really care that much.

Willing:
To drive Scott crazy again during packet stuffing.

Time for a minor update then.

Have:
Applied for a new machine-readable passport so that I can enter the US under the Visa Waiver Program. My new passport should arrive in about 10 working days.

A scholarship! YAY! Thanks everyone who has donated to the Scholarship Fund.

Need:
To book flight to US and back.

A laptop and digital recorder so that I can make recordings for the Nonsense Podcast while I'm there.

Willing:
To prostitute myself to get to TAM.

To be general dogsbody and gofer for anyone who needs it while there.

To take many photographs.

(these haven't changed)

Arth,
I'll have my laptop with me that you are welcome to use. It's a pretty beefy thing, so I'm pretty sure it can handle what you need it to do.

I've actually bought a laptop already. My partner is picking it up when she goes to Melbourne next week.

Need:
To book flight to US and back.

I do suggest not to delay that too much, because I found that booking any cheap-like flights in the week leading up to or after the 4th of July was almost impossible. The longer you wait, the more expensive it's going to get.

Want help collecting about $200 to help a member finish covering her attendance costs. PM me if you're able to kick in $25 or $50.

The only thing she needs help on is registration ($250 for a student), and I've got $90 pledged so far. That just leaves $160 to go and it will take some pressure off the scholarship fund.

Need:
A roommate, because $33 a night is way more affordable than $65. Oh, and I'm a 25 yo female non-smoker by the way, since I don't really know any of you guys...yet.

Have:
Room in my car. I'm driving up from Tucson, AZ through Phoenix, so if anyone wants to hitch a ride, just let me know. There's nothing more boring than a long car ride by yourself. Plus the Phoenix to LV roads are kind of a cool drive, so it'll be fun having someone to share it with. ***Warning: I am completely and utterly unable NOT to sing along with good music, and since I'll have my ipod...well, you get it.

It's up to US to decide how to handle this, but we can still do it through the scholarship fund. It is entirely legitimate for people to make (tax deductible) donations to the fund and earmark them for a specific person.

Have: TAM registration and plane ticket. Camera and laptop. Portable digital voice recorder. Some plans for the week prior to TAM.

Need: Not much else at this stage. A US - Australian power adapter. To organise getting short interviews with a number of prominent skeptics for the podcast.

NEED

A roommate to split hotel costs with.

I am a 23 yr old male physics graduate, currently living in Minnesota, but soon to be moving to Texas. (I'll be living there by the time TAM7 happens). Uhm, I don't smoke, but I don't care if you do.

Have:

Space for a roommate. I'm a 40-something woman, nonsmoker.

Rental car. At least through Thursday evening, possibly will decide to keep it the whole time. Depending when I arrive at the hotel, may be able to offer airport rides, etc.

Possibly, have time this coming weekend to do advance work/research. If there are any logistical questions that can't be answered by internet or telephone, I have a business meeting in Las Vegas and may have a bit of time to explore on my own.

Willing:

To volunteer. I'll search for the volunteer thread.

Have:
A roomie: Tamazon
And great help from UnrepentantSinner. Couldn't be going without it!
Thank you!

Made my donation when I called to register yesterday morning. If everyone who offered followed through we should more than cover the scholarship.

Eos, watch your snail mail early next week (I'm guessing it might take longer to get from the U.S. to Canada than I'm used to.)
