Just to be clear, there is a reputation amongst potential enemies, and a reputation amongst traditional allies...

And that, friends, is the truth. Fence mending needs to go a long ways back; anyone who tells you different is wrong. (Did someone tell you different, dualdb? What I've been hearing mainly is that Obama faces a potload of problems, not the least of which is going to be an inability to find time to work anything but problems. Perhaps that's the sort of presidency we need.)
