Well, the proposal that bigfeet are nothing but a myth is very hard to counter... So far it resisted every single debunk attempt.

Lt, until they find one, which i dont think will happen, it will remain more like "unconfirmed". Labeling it a myth is kind of deragotory, which i think its unfair to label things that you are so sure of

Actually, it fits equally in both categories

Alright! We have a new PGF ménage à trois thread. It's got a neat new feature which I think may be called "you can't post."

I noticed it was locked and theres some over there i wish they would put tags to.

I wonder if theres a reason for that or just an oversight

It's a conspiracy I tell you.

I don't understand why we keep hearing that large Bigfoot threads are killing the server, but locking them doesn't seem to speed things up ..

There are any number of larger threads than PGF 2 , and I don't see them getting locked.

Locking a PGF thread is the only kind of dominion that feeble skeptics can hold over a film that has withstood the test of time for over 41 years.

So, why even bother to stay on topic - assuming the PGF is a topic unto itself - ?
Let's just talk Bigfoot until someone gets a burr in their butt and reports the thread for being too big ...

Actually, just when I think we have said all we can say, some newbie comes along and says something like : " The experts say it can't be a costume because the materials didn't exist, and besides Patterson didn't have any money and why would Gimlin lie ? "

Not to mention - " Do you know how many airplanes get lost in the PNW ? "

I'm surprised we haven't heard that one lately ..

Well, Dio, the 73 aircraft lost in the pnw is amazing. Despite a search party for the planes, 30ft shiny objects, not 1 was found

peter byrne: The Pacific Northwest here, to give you an example of it’s size and it’s ability to hide things hides 73 aircraft lost from Northern California to Alaska since World War 2! That’s an official FAA figure, it’s not just a myth, it’s not just a newspaper story."

I've seen the A&E documentary countless times where Byrne says this. Makaya, try relying on sources that aren't Bigfoot hunters. You know, people that are paid to search for Bigfoot like Byrne was. You do remember saying nobody searches for Bigfoot, right?

It will only remain "unconfirmed" in wooville. It's not derogatory to call a myth a myth. It's pretty much standard procedure to label imaginary creatures that no one can find as myth.

I absolutely agree with you 100% on one point though: I don't think one will ever be found either. There's a very very good reason for that, one that makes perfect sense.

Get back to us when these planes are being seen all over the Pacific Northwest, but found by no one anywhere.

Raise you a Byrne quote:

Byrne:
We have a theory and it’s speculative only. We have a theory that they hide their tracks. Because there must be quite a few of them up to within reasonable limits but there are so few footprints found, so very few, so we think that …well we think that it’s a possibility that they might know enough to know that the one sign they can leave behind that would lead man to them, a man with a gun perhaps, is footprints and so they don’t make any."

And a Byrne grant and search:

But then, in 1992, good luck struck. Byrne received from Boston's Academy of Applied Science a very generous five-year grant. It provided enough money to found the Bigfoot Research Project, and to hire two assistants to help him launch the most high-tech monster search the world has ever seen--a search that relies on police gear, wildlife research equipment, a Jeep, a video camera, and, above all, a phone line.

Byrne has a toll-free number, 1-800-BIGFOOT, and a dozen or so people call in every month to report sightings. The old hunter takes notes and then, if a sighting sounds promising, he rushes off to investigate-- to peruse the crushed twigs or watch witnesses imitate the horrible scream.

Every detail is logged onto computers. Eventually, if all goes as planned, Sasquatch's migrational patterns will become clear, and Byrne can jump into a helicopter. There are, on standby, two Bell 206 choppers equipped with the infared sensors used to track prison escapees. These would zero in on the beast, and Byrne would shoot a small dart. The dart would loop into the Sasquatch's flesh, extracting a small bit of tissue--enough to fill up, say, one tiny test tube--and ultimately the creature would lope off, unharmed.

And the cameras would whir: You know the tabloids would be there. Indeed, they can't wait.

Last year, the crew of "Unsolved Mysteries," an independent syndicated TV show, spent a week with Byrne filming a mock Bigfoot hunt that was replete with a Hollywood stunt man wearing oversized shoes.

Speaking of speculations...
Hidden somewhere in the PNW (which has the ability to hide things
which is blatantly obvious), But since it can. I suggest somewhere in the PNW
there is a Bigfoot Airport with bright and shiny airplanes. (less foot prints).
And if they manage to lose some of these airplanes, they calculate the odds
and probability and figure that we will never find them.
Bigfoots don't mess around with what ifs. They just do the unexplainable.
Is it illogical to think Bigfoot can fly an aircraft ?
