The Israeli Defense Force is a well equipped modern military army. If they were actually trying to kill all the citizens of Gaza the casualties would be in the hundreds of thousands instead of just hundreds.

But contrary to you, I think this looks more like the IDF are trying to make excuses for a military blunder, I don't think they would aim at civilians on purpose.

Also, the secondary explosion in the OP's link, could they be caused by gas tanks or generators? I don't see how they can assume they are booby traps without further investigation.

Who knows? Judging by some the disgusting attitudes on this forum, if there's anybody in the IDF With those kind of attitudes then it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Gaza is a small place. Israel has many unmanned drones mapping the place. They know exactly each building is used for they couldn't miss seeing all those civilians entering that school. Blunder my ass

Why not? The way the Palestinians have been treated over the last 60 years, it's obvious the Israeli leadership wants them out of Palestine altogether. No one with any sense believes the lie of a 2-state solution.

Israel's attack on Gaza is way too disproportionate to be just a response to a few rockets lobbed at Sderot ( awaits propaganda claims of thousands of rockets )

I understand that Israel wants to keep foreign journalists out so they don't have to deal with the outrage when one inevitably ends up getting killed, but the result is that Palestinians do all the reporting and photography themselves. This is just as bad as getting all the news from the IDF (if not worse).

The reality is that you can't really trust any information that comes out of there, and I'm disgusted at the way the media uncritically reports it as fact.

Israel has not made any claims or made any suggestion that they are out to get the Palestinian people, it's not part of their rhetoric, not part of any doctrine that I am aware of.

Hamas on the other hand consistently calls for the death of Jews, and make no distinction between civilians and military, and they are targeting civilians willingly. They are not shy about it.

At the least I don't think they really care.

I kind of agree with TFT on that point, if they can know that rockets are being stored there, they must be aware of the civilians hiding there as well. That's a logical argument he is making.

The IDF should restrain from firing with that knowledge in mind, Geneva convention or not.
