Rockinkt, I have read your posts on the bff, and i conclude that there is no reason for anyone to insult you. We should attack the arguement and never the person.

Long, Have you ever came across a track that baffles you?(Not in real life, just pictures)

I do wonder who is being referenced specifically

Yeah - I wonder...:D

Saskeptic should have the courage to come on this board and specifically address the post(s) and poster(s) he disagrees with.
Perhaps the fact that his feet will be held to the fire with no pet mods to protect him is holding him back?

Please, lets just focus on the topic and not the person. Rockinkt, if you feel you have been insulted, why dont you bring it to the bff forum instead of here, where most people's views differ dramatically

You are missing the point. Please stop your childish admonitions.

Depends on how you mean baffle. I've never seen a BF print in "real life" so all I can go by is the pictures others have taken. I'm certain I've only seen a fraction of the photographed 'alleged" BF prints but of those i have seen 95% of them are obvious fake feet and there are a few I would like to have seen investigated further and properly.

John, no im not.

Rockin, I am not being childish. All i said was that if you have a problem with him, take it somewhere else, because i dont want to hear about it

Long, thats interesting. Do you share a positive or skeptical view on its existence? Just curious here

OK because you are new. ( and no secret to anyone normally here or at the BFF)

I am a BF PROponent who believes in the possible existence of such a creature and would love nothing better than to see absolute proof of it existing. Thats based on 2 personal "not sure" encounters of my own.

Despite my personal experience and belief based on it, I am also a PhD and former investigator with extensive experience in legal scenarios as LE or an expert witness.

I dont drink the BF cool aid, check my credentials/common sense at the subject of BF, I dont accept BS and half assed claims as valid, I put about 1% weight behind unsubstantiated witness accounts, I know how to research PROPERLY and build a defensible premise ( and how to cut a bad one to pieces) and so forth.

I am zero tolerance on all things BS and will pour the strongest acid on alleged "facts' and only consider that which survives "the test". Facts and data are all that I accept and they arent facts or data until they have passed the tests.

So, even tho I'm in the "believer" camp, I often come across as the hardest of skeptics because legitimate science must have skepticism to keep balance in the force regarding objectivity and quality. If BF exists, shoddy half assed non evidence that is shored up by only wishful thinking and pseudo science will never prove his case.

So, my job is to cull the crap from the creme to build a legitimate scientific case for BF that mainstream science will accept. So far that case is holding a solid 2% because the only known verifiable facts regarding BF are that its "possible" such an animal exists and impossible to "prove" it doesnt or cant.

Sadly, as of this posting, there are no more facts or tangble legitimate evidence in the BF corner. ( but theres always tomorrow)

John, I joined the bff because it was pretty interesting reading the threads, and viewing the proponent and skeptical point of view.

Longtabber, your what people consider as a "Skeptical Beliver"? if so, count me in. I get tired of taking things at face value, and would be more satisfied with the truth, and could care less whether or not the truth is in my favor

I asked if you had any objection to stating who you are over on BFF, not why you joined. If you don't want to state your posting identity on BFF - fair enough. I'll therefore have to speculate :D.

Only Kit is the one member here that knows. I would like my identity to be seperate from that forum onto this forum.

Names are what they are. I dont accept that title because its literal meaning and colloquial meaning are light years apart.

"skepticism" is a necessary and legitimate part of science and should be used in heaping amounts by EVERYONE who calls themselves a scientist. Skepticism is nothing more than a "tool".

I'm a "believer" because in my 2 situations, based on available evidence at the time point to BF in a preponderance of the evidence manner, not in an absolute manner. Its the difference between me saying I "believe" BF probably exists versus I "KNOW" BF exists with absolute unerring certainty.

( I do NOT "know" BF exists)

I am "skeptical" in every area of my professional life ( its a job requirement and its what often keeps ones ass from being handed to them by not getting blindsided from something you didnt verify or just accept at "face value")

Facts and data are the road to truth, skepticism is the vehicle, belief is the fuel and the destination is the only thing that matters in the end.

Exactly, long. Without skepticism, all new age beliefs would be approved for peer review! lol

Parcher, Its obvious that Prohaska was involved with the pgf. I could imagine one of his big henchmen put on a skin tight suit and did "The patty walk"
