As the post-election Rovian-style attacks continue to rage, maybe some relief can be found by way of the "opposition" coming together and "attacking" each other with a little civilized humor (Of course BillO's real motive is selling his new book).

Jon Stewart interviews BillO on Daily Show

Kumbaya.

I like Bill. Defending Obama over lippygate was a class act and showed a degree of fairness. He's an affable man if you don't poke him too hard.

That said, It would take several years for me to tire of repeatedly reversing over Sean Hannity's twitching corpse.

This belongs in politics not in the 08 election forum.

I got a kick out of O'Reilly's rehash of the show on O'Reilly's show. He played the clip where he was critical of Stewart for editing clips of O'Reilly, then conveniently edited out the ignorant error O'Reilly made calling a tan teddy bear a Panda.

Stewart giving O'Reilly hot cocoa and a teddy bear to calm his Obama fears was hilarious.

The part where Bill insisted a stuffed white teddy bear was actually a panda gave me my new avatar.

Well, at least he didn't warn us of the dangers of those militant lesbian gangs rising all over the country indoctrinating school children into homosexuality  .

He is a blow-hard who makes appeals to "tradition" and "the majority of average, everyday Americans believe" and pontificates his views as if they were based on anything more than his own ideology.

Of course, he has the odd distancing from a strict party line, and at least has the decency to invite guests that disagree that others, coucholbermanncough, do not.

(Really, that was on his show)

I saw it and thought it was a pretty entertaining video. OReilly can be funny. The hot cocoa was a nice touch.

Was watching the REAL O'REilly show yesterday tough. Glenn Beck comes on. One of Obama's first questions is about Ayers, "Why do you think 50%+ of Americans don't seem to care about this story, what does that tell you?"

Beck: "I don't know what that tells me, its scary Bill, there are a lot of dumb Americans. Maybe we should thin the herd a little..."

Emphasis mine.

Not sure OReilly would ever say that, but he's fine with hosting those views and regular viewers of his show get that stuff regularly through his guests while he poses as some kind of noble moderate.

Thing is, I don't think its artifice. I just think he's not able to divorce himself from his most cherished opinions and consider them skeptically - witness the inability for him to respond to some of the deeper philosophical challenges Stewart was posing him in the 2nd part... He just couldn't process some of that

Beck is getting his own show on fox later this year I believe. It should be hilarious times all around. O'Reilly should stick with Dennis Miller as a guest. At least he's usually funny.

You can never trust pro-gun groups like the pink pistols. It was all part of his rigidly anti gun stance.

I mostly chalk it up to BillO being another entertainer; A shock jock by tendency, and a shock jock by trade and design. Even when he's attempting to appear "moderate" and balanced, he likes to make waves ("There's no business like show business" Lala lala la ).

If it is anything like his CNN Headline news, show, it will be as about as funny as terminal cancer.
Beck was funny at one time, but he seems to have totally lost it and now comes off like a poor man's Sean Hannity.

If I had a show and I was interviewing Bill and he tried to talk over me, I'd scream SHUT UP!!! right into his face. Right in.
