He appeared yesterday after the elections and was berated for making a very bad negative remark in reference to Obama's past history in relation to big corporations and what might be expected based on that record. He also spent most of his time complaining about how he lacked the money to compete and about the unfairness of the whole political setup. Why even run if you know you lack the money to compete? According to Fox News, if I remember right, he garnered 3% of the votes.

I mean, if you're going to run someone with absolutely NO chance of winning, why not a fictional character? :D

Nader is an idiot if he can't understand that the reason he only got ten or eleven votes in this election is NOT because the political system is unfair, however true that might actually be; but rather because nobody likes him or his party. In 1992 Ross Perot, an Independent presidential candidate, garnered 19% of the popular vote. In a couple of states he was the second-place candidate, outperforming Clinton or Bush. So Nader can shut up and stop whining like a baby.

Nader could take a page from John McCain's book. I don't agree with him on a lot of things, but I admired how gracious he was in his concession speech. It's telling to contrast it with Nader's boorish and unstatesmanlike remarks. No wonder nobody likes him.

Nobody likes him, but everybody loves his platform. Funny thing, that.
Maybe somebody else should campaign on his issues? Any takers?

(Minor nitpick: Nader doesn't have a party. He's an independent candidate that various third parties give ballot access to; e.g. Peace and Freedom in California. In most states, he was listed as "Independent".)

Nader is what used to be called a True Believer. He KNOWS his cause is right and if you don't agree you must be an stupidey poopy-head idiot OR a foul fiend from the depths of Hell. Sort of like me and certain branches of republican.
