President Obama! #44! USA! USA!

Now that Senator Obama will be President Obama, can I get a little help here?

What is the socially acceptable term/word(s) for whatever he is ???

You know what I mean...

If he were to fill out a college application and mark a box(es) under the "R" question, what would it/they be?

Also, will whatever term/word(s) be accurate?

I'm at a loss here...

As "one O them mixed folk" I would Hope he would be like me and check "other" and write in American-Jedi.

Having said that, in a purely selfish moment, I really wish my Grandma (and Dad, several other members of my family, and friends who didn't care about the color of skin but ran into ignorance because of others stupidity) had lived to see this...:o

Congratulations to president elect Obama.

I always liked McCain and thought it would be somehow wrong to vote for someone who I disagreed with politically just because of his race, but I can't say I'm not moved by the occasion. I'm actually a bit surprised to find myself unexpectedly happy at Obama's victory.

Now, President Obama, please don't make me eat my words by doing something silly like removing the foreign earned income exclusion.

Nonsense! His hair isn't white and he doesn't come from a society of matriarchal spider worshippers.

No wait, he is from Hawaii. Crap, he's a drow.

Ba'rak of the House of Ob'am'a. Probably wields twin magical scimitars too.

Does that mean instead of the usual First Dog, it'll be a First Magical Great Panther? That would be kind of cool actually.

We're dorks.

How about, First Brother from Another Mother? A black girl told me a couple of days ago that folks didn't care if he was 1% black, the black community was going to claim him as their own. On a side note, my dad who volunteered for the Obama campaign, got a phone call yesterday afternoon that 2 guys at the homeless shelter had called and needed a ride to High Point (about 30 miles from here) to vote. One was a 52 year old out of work typewriter repairman from the DC area that couldn't find work and the other was a 30 something out of work electrical worker from Fayettville that came to this are to try and find work. This was the first election that either one had voted in. Dad said that after they voted they were absolutely giddy. Dad said they were like school kids with a bunch of questions about what would happen now and questions about election results. If I was down on my luck like these guys, voting would be the last thing on my mind. This is truly a defining moment in American social history.

So was I. It took me until post #5 to realise you were referring to race.

I for one welcome our new gay, mixed race, communist, Muslim, radical christian, Kenyan overlord

Don't forget he's a drug addict, not really an American, and admires (is) a terrorist.

Oh and perhaps the Antichrist as well, he has that going for him.

Go, go republican party, go sit in the corner; you need a time out.

I don't know if anyone has been following PalinAsPresident.com, but regardless, you should check it out this morning.

Hmm. It seems my corporate IT department does not approve:

Of course we're dorks!

And he promised the First Daughters a puppy, not a kitty. Oh well. I can still dream....
