Obama Assassination Attempt Foiled

Before helmet laws, I knew a lot of kids with brain damage due to bicycle accidents. There are fewer now.

I notice that the post-helmet-law kids are less likely to grow up to be Republicans.

It is not surprisng that liberals have trouble with motor skills and needed government intervention to prevent FURTHER brain damage when they fall of their skateboards.

Who decides who the "real skins" are?

The ones who are originals. The ones who follow the real roots of the skins.

Some skinheads are racist neo nazis.

Some skinheads are not.

The original skinheads were not.

To describe a group such as these as skinheads to reflect the fact they are racists or nazis is incorrect.

To describe these morons as neo nazi skinheads is acceptable as that is what they are.

Real skins was not in "" when I posted it either.

I suspect English was not your best subject at school.

This is the only area in which I really disagree with Obama and the issue is actually dead with a majority of Democrats, other than a few outspoken indivduials, so it isn't likely to go anywhere.

Banning semi-automatics doesn't make that big a difference. I can put about as many rounds on target in the same time with my No 1 MkIII or my revolver as I have seen a lot of younger guys do with their M16s or Glocks.

Each weapon probably should be covered by a title like an automobile, and gun ownership should be limited to those who can pass the same background and training requirements as the Texas concealed carry law (No addicts, lunatics, felons, wife beaters or kiddie fiddlers and you have to qualify with your weapon.) And there should be an organized militia so that everyone who owns a weapon has a place to fall in and defend the community in an emergency. (That's what the 2nd Ammendment was supposed to be for.)

Read "The Turner Diaries." The white nationalists want us not to be well-armed.

Imaghine, under my scheme, what sort of rule 10 storm these idiots would find themselves walking into.

White nationalists are in favor of the 2nd Amendment.
In The Turner Diaries the White resistance begins after the Cohen Act is enforced in a general roundup of firearms.

Trust MaGZ to cite a book as sick and disgusting as "The Turner Diaries" in a post.
You know, the novel that advocates the extermination of all non white peoples.
And "White Nationalist" is just a PR Bullcrap term for "White Supremists" and "Neo Nazi".

How did children survive and prosper before parents started treating their children like hot house plants to be protected from the same surroundings that didn't pose a threat to all the generations of children that came before now.

What kind of argument is that ? So parents, who are against guns in the house in order to protect their children from accidents with guns are overprotective and irrational as opposed to gun owners who must be good and fit parents because they expose their children to weapons at an early age so they'd be prepared for the "real world" ?

Besides, you don't know anything about my parenting skills so that was quite a judgemental remark...

Why not talk numbers ? Like this :
"The number of U.S. firearm fatalities: 10,801 homicides in 2000. The European Union experienced 1,260 homicides, Japan only 22"
(Journal of Risk & Insurance 2005)

But I guess that would take us OT. There is undoubtedly a thread regarding gun control on this forum where I could make a valuable contribution :p

Justr stop it. I see that the Republicans like to whine about warning labels on plastic bags, too. Have you any idea how many people were killed by plastic bags, many of them children, before the warning labels were required?

One of the local brain-damged Republican radio twits likes to whine about the same thing. He also likes to point out that as a kid he drank out of a nasty old garden hose all the time and turned out fine. (He didn't and he's a moron, but that is quite another matter.) Maybe the idiot should check the incidence of typhoid fever when he was a kid compared to today.

Maybe he should also compare the rate of E. coli outbreaks in the past eight years compared to the rate in the previous 8 years, then compare it to the rate before the jelly-brain from California was president.

De-regulation kills.

It is amazing how a child today is just too ill-prepared to survive in the world without protective devices on every possible common household item. The furniture has to be bolted down for fear the child will climb it and it will fall on them. All electrical outlets have to be blocked off. No plastic bags allowed. Cribs with slats too close together, or too far apart. Toys that would pose a problem only if the child doesn't have the sense of a puppy.
People are trying to protect their children from harm? I bet no-one did that before evil liberals forced them voluntarily to do so. Or if they did, they used expedients such as prayer, lucky charms, and burning the local witches; and at least they don't work.

No, the only things children need protecting from are:

(1) Learning anything about sex.
(2) Especially finding out that teh gheys exist, ever.
(3) The theory of evolution.
(4) Any bits of history that their parents don't like.
(5) Ideas in general.
(6) Teachers.
(7) Television.
(8) Video games.
(9) The devil's music.
(10) "Political correctness".

Protecting them from physical harm is just another stupid modern liberal fad, unthinkable in the Good Old Days. What they actually need protecting from is Thought Crime.

Now, some people might suggest that this leaves them mentally unprepared for life. And it does. But with a little luck, if we don't protect our children from physical harm, they'll go to live with Jesus before this becomes an issue.

Next, compare Mexico to Canada, or North Dakota to California, or Chicago to Dallas, or Hawaii to Florida. Seem silly yet? Maybe you could use total homicides per capita also? There are alot of variables in throwing out that argument. It is tried in all the gun threads. The US will always have more crime than the EU outside of any gun issue just based on laws and geography alone. I'm not saying more gun regulation is a bad thing, but that's a poor cherry pick right there. We need something with common sense and I think I'm actually agreeing with Lefty here as far as regristration and training. It's way to easy to own a legal firearm.

I'm sure Tipper Gore, the wife of the creator of the internet, thought she was protecting hapless children from the 'Devil's music" when she took her cause to the U.S. Congress.

***.."Gore recalls that she got mad when she tried to return Prince's Purple Rain to the store where she bought it. The retailer wouldn't take the record back because it had been opened and played. Gore says she surveyed the music landscape and found everything from "bubblegum" pop to heavy metal to songs about violence against women and killing police officers.

That's when she helped form the Parents' Music Resource Center, which took the issue up with the recording industry and Congress.

Gore, whose 1985 testimony before a Senate panel was countered by musicians Frank Zappa and Dee Snyder of the group Twisted Sister, says she wasn't out to censor the objectionable material. "I'm a strong believer in the First Amendment," she says. Instead, Gore continues to advocate "consumer information in the marketplace."..***

Michale Powell, the son of the Obama endorser Colin Powell, was head of the FCC. Surely he would never fine radio personalities for exercising their freedom of speech? I'm sure Howard Stern was just an aberration for Powell.

Surely the 1st grade kids whose gay teacher took the class on a field trip to her gay wedding know more about alternative lifestyles than they do about Elmo.

Did someone need to teach you about sex? Most kids catch on all by themselves.

I'm sure Ronald Reagan's military adviser, George Bush's appointment to head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, campaigner for George W. Bush and Secretary of State for the Bush administration is glad to be remembered as the arch democrat.

Jeez it's easy to get kicked out of the club.

Or maybe the club isn't Republicans. Maybe it's neoconservative scumbags. Or, as Powell called them, "[unprintable] crazies."

Thank you for your unfocused rant about various ... er ... stuff. We regret to inform you that it does not meet our required standards for giving a toss about.

It's OK to admit that you forgot about an iconic liberal censoring music. There is also no danger that 8 year-olds will be prohibited from going on scheduled public school wacky field trips.

It seems your fears are not justified, except when a liberal wife of a VP gets her way.

That was equally pointless and dishonest; but on the positive side it was much shorter, so you wasted less time typing it.

Colin Powell and Tipper Gore. Iconic liberals, people

Did someone need to teach you about sex? Most kids catch on all by themselves.

I had a vague idea of what it was about, but had to get some ..er...private tutoring from a lady on Kaiserstrasse as to some of the actually mechanics.

A lot of kids, under the Christofascist plan, would not even get that much. And they would be far more likely than today to get knocked up or catch something that makes their junk fall off.

Who said Colin Powell was a liberal, much lees iconic? The iconic liberal, singular, was Tipper Gore.

What makes Tipper a liberal, let alone being an iconic one? Being married to Al? By that standard Mary Matalin is "an iconic liberal" as well.

The only thing of which Tipper Gore is an icon is censorship. She would not appear on any liberal's list of liberal icons.

I think it is fairly obvious that I did, in fact, learn about sex at some point; and impressive though my intellect is, few would be convinced were I to claim that I deduced the whole thing in one colossal act of pure mentation.
