Who the $@#& is that guy?

The gist of Jons piece, and also the thing that has driven me nuts for a while now, is that most of these 'experts' were advisors to campaigns that FAILED. And yet they are on TV everyday telling us we can expect this and that and confidently predicting what will happen with this issue and that issue.
Hey Doofus, if you're so good at this stuff why do you have free time right now? Oh yeah thats right because the campaign you were advising failed didn't it?

A more relevant question might be "What alternative reality sprang a leak and let that guy seep into ours?"

Our enemies are afraid of John McCain? Define enemies versus friends. I think more of our friends are afraid of McCain. An enemy does not fear an inept leader, but his allies do.

That Ed "Hussein" Rogers guy isn't such an unknown face, and his
agenda is obvious:

Ed Rogers: Barack "Hussein" Obama

Well, he does, obviously, rely more on an appeal to people's emotions, especially those emotions that reside in the reptilian part of the brain, rather than on reason.

That's neoconservatism and Friedmanism in a nutshell.

It's funny, but that reptilian emotion thingy often works for "Drill,
Jesus, Drill Republicans". If I were a Pundit or Lobbyist for Republican
interests like that guy, I would give wide berth to any appeal to
logic as well. :p

Correct. In fact, the true enemies of the free world, such as Al Qaeda, fear Obama more, because he represents withdrawal from the war in Iraq. He represents a reduction in overseas war expenditures. Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups love it when America brings the war to them, as it empties the american coffers, while at the same time fills the terrorist ranks with determined, patriotic Arabs and others, eager to defend the homeland against the infidels...so to speak. They especially love leaders who spend billions on a war overseas that does not even focus on them, but rather on oil.

At least those guys are on TV and not running any actual campaigns.

Well, except for the guy who ran Rudy Giuliani's campaign.

On Thursday, Jon Stewart made a pretty funny but also quite
interesting point that I asked myself a lot as well:

Who are those "experts" in US-Political News talking about the
elections - and what the heck does make them "the best political
teams in television" anyway?

Talking heads who no one should be paying attention to. I am really bored with anyone but comedians or actual knowledgeable people filling air time with predictions and suggestions that are, at best, unreliable guesswork. I want to hear funny, absolute certainty or uncertainty with reasons why only.

But then, do anyone have a track record as bad as Bill krystol?

Perhaps Pat Buchanan. Last I saw he thought McCain won all 3 of the debates and I think he picked Palin as the winner of the VP debate. He also still argues she was a great pick and the best thing about McCains campaign. After listening to him saying all this I said to my wife "This guy could go a long way. All he has to do is work out that however he feels about an issue is probably the opposite to the majority of the country. So if he starts saying the opposite of what he really feels he could be President one day." :D

I'm not convinced Pat Buchanan is serious. I think it is part of an act that he does to counter Rachel Maddow. Kind of like Alan Colmes.

The other night, Pat was trying to defend Palin, and was saying she has all these great qualities. Not intelligence, he says, but she looks good.

Well I would certainly give the overall title to Kristol. He manages to be so wrong on such a wide range of things it's like he studies hard at it.

But hey, just think how right you could be if you just went opposite to whatever Krystol says?

If Bill Kristol said the opposite of what he was thinking all the time he might be as popular as say, Bill Crystal.
