The attention must be a bit of a wrench for Joe, but he's acting like a drip and should pipe down. He was overflowing with indignation but wasn't sewer of his facts and ended up in deep water. Now that he's plumbed the depths perhaps he'll realise that sump things will have to change, maybe his attitude to the cistern. He might learn that when U-bend down that low your ballcock can spring a leak, leaving you flushed.
Careful Joe, in other sessieties they'd ring for a copper.

This story has legs

Joe Wurzelbacher is now complaining:
"You know, when you can't ask a question of your leaders anymore, that gets scary," he said.

Whoa! Hang on there a sec, Joe.

You asked your question, and were given a very detailed answer. More than most people would get when meeting a Presidential Candidate at random. The video is there for all to see.

Also, Joe stated in an interview on TV over the weekend:
"The media's worried about whether I've paid my taxes, they're worried about any number of silly things that have nothing to do with America," Wurzelbacher said.

Not paying taxes... hmmmmm... that's certainly a pertinent fact, considering his question was about --- paying taxes!
(The media investigations found reports of Wurzelbacher's annual earnings that suggest he would receive a tax cut rather than an increase under Obama's plan. How is that "silly" at all?)

Media reporters are always looking for a story, that's what they are tasked to accomplish.
By agreeing to be interviewed on Fox TV, he just added legs to this story, and if he goes ahead as planned and appears with McCain in Ohio, then he'll be calling additional attention to himself. How is that the fault of the Media?

Malkin, Now And Then
On the press and "Joe The Plumber":

...a dirty, desperate war against Joe Wurzelbacher is on. The left’s political plumbers are attacking the messenger, rummaging through his personal life and predictably wielding the race card once again. It’s standard operating procedure for the Obama thug machine. ... Left-wing blogs immediately went to work, blaring headlines like “Not A Real $250k Plumber!” Next, they falsely accused Wurzelbacher of not being registered to vote—he’s registered in Lucas County, Ohio, and voted as a Republican in this year’s primary. ...

In 2007, on the kid called Graeme Frost, cited by Democrats in defense of S-CHIP:

A word for all the faux outraged leftists accusing conservative bloggers of waging a “smear campaign:” Asking questions and subjecting political anecdotes to scrutiny are what journalists should be doing.

When a family and Democrat political leaders drag a child down to Washington at 6 in the morning to read a script written by Senate Democrat staffers on a crusade to overturn a presidential veto, someone might have questions about the family’s claims. The newspapers don’t want to do their jobs. The vacuum is being filled. If you don’t want questions, don’t foist these children onto the public stage.
Michelle Malkin folks. She'll be here all week. And next week too. And the week after that. . . .

What is scary about having to act like a rational person in front of tv cameras? If you do not want to be held up as an idiot in front of the whole country, just don't say stupid crap in front of TV reporters.

Exactly. Maybe Obama will learn from this experience.

I wonder, in general, how can a human being be "illegal"?

That's a very amusing question from someone posting from Germany. However, illegal alien is the non politically correct and accurate term for the benign and nebulous "undocumented worker"

Have you considered a job with The Sun PJ?

A beating with a lead pipe is in order for the above :D

Exactly. Maybe Obama will learn from this experience.

Obama's only mistake was in believing that the little redneck snot actually had a chance of ever owning a business. McCain's big mistake was trying to make the lying redneck look like a victim.

Joe's attitude is the problem here, not what Obama told him.
