Let me just state that people in Madison have very little knowledge of Barrett's beliefs. Many of them seem to think that he was fired because he made some anti-American comments, and they feel it was very unfair. They don't know he is actually a 9/11 conspiracy theorist, a holocaust denier, and an all around insane person. His one class that he took was an introductory level course that had hundreds of students attend. The playful atmosphere of the class, in which he would play music and tell jokes, made a lot of students like him and many refuse to believe he is a nut. I took another Islam course and everyone spent 20 minutes talking about how great he was and that his removal was an injustice. I was the only one there who seemed to actually know anything else about him.

Barrett opposes foreign aid to Israel.

You are just upset that Barrett won the election. He won 17 of 19 counties, with one tie. The issues were thouroughly debated before the election. We live in a democracy, you know, that's what people do before elections, they debate the issues.

Please stop defending the Bush/Cheney regime.

On Friday, Barrett was charged with disorderly conduct in Sauk County Circuit Court after being accused of hitting his 13-year-old son at home on the morning of the Sept. 9 3rd District Libertarian primary, which he won....


...A Madison police complaint said that on Saturday, Barrett came too close to the residence in the 500 block of South Randall Street where his wife and two sons, 13 and 11 years old, were staying and violated the restraining order. Bellouchi said Barrett came over and drove away the couple's car, which was parked outside the residence, police said.

With all 624 precincts reporting, Barrett had 332 votes, or 60 percent, and Olson, of Wisconsin Dells, had 226 votes, or 40 percent.

Your facts are all wrong. Dr. Barrett got more than 332 votes. Olson did not get 226 votes either, he got less than that. And there were more than 558 votes, another false claim.

You started out by claiming there were only 100 votes in the primary, now your are claiming there were over 5 TIMES that many votes, and even these claims are wrong.

You also are probably not aware that the voter turnout in Wisconsin for the primary was only 4% of registered voters, and that does not even include eligible voters who are not registered. So your claims of what you perceive to be low totals are invalid. Everybody got low votes totals. Most of the candidates on the ballot got even less votes than Barrett, yet you single him out. Barrett got more votes than Olson. If your conspiracy theories about 9/11 are so correct, why did Olson get LESS THAN 226 votes from fringe nutjobs? Huh?

I suggest you check your facts before you post. Not everything you read in the newspapers about politics is true. When you spread bogus info like this, that is how vote-counting conspiracies get started!

Barrett was not allowed to teach any more classes after his first semester of teaching a subject that apparently was in short supply of teachers of Islamic studies. That, to me, amounts to essentially a firing.

A big clue is "a judge found Kevin Barrett innocent". Judges don't find people innocent, it's either guilty or not guilty.

You are spreading false information. Dr. Barrett taught at UW-Madison for 13 years. When he came under fire by the neo-cns, he was defending by the school administration. He was not "essentially fired", nor was he fired.

Dr. Barrett is pro-Semite. He converted to a Semitic religion and speaks Semitic languages.

Why don't you start a thread comparing Galileo and Dr. Barrett. According to your logic, Galileo was "essentially fired" from the University of Pisa in 1592 for teaching crazy theories about the earth's motion.

Go look up Sauk County court records, he is being charged with disorderly conduct, case is listed as open, plus charges are being filed for bail jumping. You shouldn't rely on on your biased sources.
