Perhaps this should go in the CT forum - I'll let the moderator decide!

OK, there are two festering problems with American foreign policy right now - American incursion into Pakistan, and North Korea's nuclear defiance. We haven't heard as much about them in the press as I would expect.

I predict that the Bush administration will allow either or both of these problems to explode into a 'crisis' a couple of days before the election. By 'allow' I don't mean 'attack' or 'sabotage' or anything so blatant. Just sort of inflate whatever problem is already existent.

This, along with the hypnotic gas in the voting booths, will ensure a McCain victory.

Just a thought of course. But if you disagree... get thee behind me, Elder of Zion!

You appear to be wrong. The North Korean problem has been solved since they recently have been taken off the Terror Watch List and now will probably end their nuclear weapons program.

Pakistan has its own timetable independent of what Bush wants to do. Look for the second Islamic Revolution to occur here in the next few years.

Inflate what?

The US Administrations main focus is the economy. There is no reason
to believe they would dump the economy by interfering in foreign countries
like this one:
Pakistan may be the first nation to go bankrupt

Wow, I don't agree with the OP but at least I understood it. Dog, I think at this point Bush's tired tactics are so well known that no one is going to fall for them again. That, and they stopped using hypnotic gas when it was exposed during the last election's problems in Fla.

Except that darn bailout huh!?

Here in Florida, we've already received our hypnotic gas. Talk about efficient govenment!

"Pakistan may be the first nation to go bankrupt"

I predict Pakistan will be the first country turned inot nuk-u-lar slag (by India)

[EDIT]lol I misread the conspiracy the OP was proposing[/EDIT]

I am not going to get political here, I will just say that the bailout is a response (neither agreeing or disagreeing with it) to a very important crisis going on, not a made up crisis itself to fuel the GOP platform.

firestorm, that may just be residual from 2001.

More likely is that India will take on the Pakistan Army and Civil Service payrolls and Partition will be consigned to the dustbin of history. Best result all round. It solves the Kashmir problem and the Taliban problem at a stroke, and there'll be one less nuclear state in the world. What's not to like? To turn the question around, what's to like about Pakistan, even for Pakistanis?
