In a conference call Tuesday, the Democratic National Committee's top election lawyer announced a lawsuit filed in federal court in Michigan to enjoin the Republican Party from pursuing plans, first reported by a Michigan blog, to challenge voters whose homes were in the process of foreclosure.

It's a really new low for the GOP to try and purge the votes of the poor...My lapper battery is dying, else I would post more.

Just wait, one of the Repubs in here will attempt to defend it.

And thus the well is poisoned so if anyone did research and found that the charges of the lawsuit were false, they would then be a republican defender.

How is the life of a fanatic?

I predict you will not win Randi's $1M with that prediction.

Both sides engage in voter disenfranchisement. No matter who does it, it's despicable. Remember the slashing of GOP "get out the vote" van tires in Milwaukee on Election Day 2004?

How many people have the Democrats tried to knock off the rolls?

Vandalism is irrelevant unless it is tied to a concerted and official effort.

So it was just vandalism, not an attempt to disenfranchise voters? Okey dokey with you, huh?

Both parties will get away with whatever they think they can get away with.
The GOP has just been a little better at it for the past few years, that's all.
But, as Chicago shows, the Dems are no slouches themsleves at little tricks at election day.

I remember it quite well, because I live here. One of the people invovled was the son of a Democrat member of government here, like an Alderman or something. It was a huge story here on conservative radio. But faded quickly from the public eye and I don't remember what was even done to the people invovled, but IIRC it was a very slap on the wrist type reaction.

Then there was "smokes for votes" as well.

Chicago dems don't need to pull tricks on election day. They just show up.

Did I miss the evidence for this voter suppression in the article? I'm being serious, not sarcastic. It sounds like mostly accusation.

It boils down to this: Eartha Jane Melzer's word against James Carabelli's word.
