Obama Hubris Watch

Since I'm in rant mode...I suspect that many of the GOPers gleefully outraged over the stadium venue and its back drop...were incredibly inspired when O'l George W donned his flight suit and landed that ol' jet plan on the deck of the aircraft carrier to proclaim the end of the armed conflict in Iraq. Of course, he was the president...so a little symbolic over-reach is perfectly acceptable.

Well, you know, he was a POW after all. Because he was a POW, he has a former POW sense of Former POW humility, which would mean that he would always present himself as a humble former POW and try to use his experience as a POW and now former POW to put all issues into their proper POW context. For example, he would ask himself: How should a former POW thing about health care for all Americans? Or, morgages...should a former POW be for or against them? Certainly, he wants to make it clear that as a former POW it, unlike OBam, say, is the totality of his status as a POW and now Former POW that motivates his run, thus lending it an air of gravitas that Obama, not having been a POW or now a former POW could never achieve. So, while as a former POW, McCain could stand with a flag backdrop..or many flags...that is ok because that is in the realm of what we would expect and do to honor a former POW...whereas OBama -- who-- btw -- is not a former POW -- can't realistically use any symbolism relating to or suggesting of power, patriotism or even ambition because that would be hubris.
 
BTW...I sure hope that the columns in Denver are one of the three major Greek orders (Ionic, Doric or Corinthian) or possible a recognizable Roman-style...because otherwise it might symbolically sugest he's a fifth-columinist.
 
Oh my...it just occured to me, there were Doric (I think) columns at the Old State House in Springfield when Obama announced his candidacy and introduced Biden as his VP choice...GREEK Columns, for Christ's sake! This whole columns=Hubris thing goes far deeper than any of us ever suspected. He's been purposefully putting himself in front of greek columns from the very begining...the confounded ego of the man!

Yes...but King was coming before the nation as a supplecant -- asking that promised rights be actually conferred. Obama will be coming before the nation as a Presidential contender asking to actually run the plantation. Far more scary to those who choose fear....
 
But the pillars behind King were arranged in a row, while those behind Obama are arranged in a crescent! Is this a secret symbol that Obama is sending to Muslims?
