Complete NIST WTC7 Press Briefing Videos

Complete transcript with key slides (pdf), courtesy of my crazy :rule10.

The names are as correct as I could get them. I couldn't find the German reporter. Googling came up with Farren's first name, and Farren Show lives in the same town and has a self-owned business there. The last name sounded a bit like Show, but I couldn't make it out. I couldn't verify Shey's last name either. The Infowar talking bot Geiger I've heard before.

ETA: My question to you all is - How do we get that complete clip of the collapse from the CBS archives????? I've been salivating over it ever since I saw it. Does anyone have that complete clip?

And it's not XDF, but ZDF. Part of the major state owned TV stations.

Just had a look on their page again and I can't find anything about the NIST report and WTC7.

The reporters at the briefing were Daphne Retter (New York Post), Devlin Barrett (Associated Press (AP)), Farren Shoaf (The Real News Radio (via the Web)), Arianne Cohen (Popular Mechanics), Christoph Röckerath (ZDF German Television), Bill Jenkins (Building Safety Journal (via the Web)), Mike Shea (Baltimore Grassroots Media), Eric Lipton (The New York Times) and Shane Geiger (InfoWars.com).

If the CBS footage was shown on 9/11 or on the days afterwards, you can probably find it on archive.org.

We can't download them from archive.org, though, can we?

5:30 into this clip, the video is shown for the first time. It's not the complete collapse. They've edited out the penthouse falling already, and this is approximately 5:40, Eastern on September 11th. Gah.

You can download from Archive.org if you have DownloadHelper plugin for Firefox, or Orbit Downloader. You will just get the FLV (flash) version.

I was looking at my secret resource for the full resolution clips of ALL the news feeds that day, and mysteriously, the one you are looking for is missing. :boggled: It should time coded 1733 to 1814 on CBS9. Look here, big files:

Well, that one didn't have the east penthouse falling anyway, and that was twenty minutes after it fell, so I'm sure it was the first time it was seen on the air, probably never shown in its entirety again, and probably where the alternative theorists have been getting their clip all along.

I've emailed CBS through their contact us page. I'll try to get my hands on it somehow.

If you go here (I think RealPlayer or RealAlternative is required for the format .mp4) you can watch the collapse from the beginning, albeit from a distance. I took a screenshot to approximately show where to click ahead:

I count about ~14-16 seconds from penthouse collapse to the end of what's visible. I suppose it's more like 18 seconds over all. Suck on that, truthers! :D

The one I'm looking for, a section of it begins at 2:11 in the compilation that bje posted. It's from the northwest, and it's the one usually used by conspiracy theorists to show the building fell in seven seconds. However, NIST used that same video on their video page, but they got the original footage and were able to start it before the east penthouse goes down.

On that page, play the top video. There's a title shot and then a helicopter shot approaching the WTC Complex. The next shot is the video I'm talking about, and it's the complete collapse, not the last seven seconds that the CTers always use. It's devastating to the WTC 7 smoking gun crew, because it clearly shows there is more to the story than they have been telling people about.

If we could get that entire collapse video out there, we might even get a few diehard CTers to come back from the darkness.

It's in the compilation bje links to, again shortly after the 3rd minute, although it has been slowed down a little.
