A corrupt dictator gets ousted by his corrupt government in a move that has more to do with them wagering that they can win the ensuing civil war and little to do with the process of law.....yeah, I wish our country worked that way. On a more serious note: The peoples (party and electorate) agenda seems to be pretty obvious here...

So you're comparing the country of Pakistan-- which hasn't had a change of office of leadership in the government that didn't involve a coup, banishment, or some other destabilization in more than three decades-- to the US, which has had elections every four years for the presidential office and other sundry elections in-between?

I'm surprised about the story, Oliver, but not about the impeachment. I don't know your age, Oliver, but I'm willing to wager that Pakistan hasn't had a smooth transition of power for longer than you've been alive.

Verifiable facts of history are not CT. Musharraf won his power in an illegal coup and maintains power by jailing anyone in the government who questions what he does. How is that anything close to a CT?

I have never heard Pakistan referred to as being part of the Middle East.

Of course, as far as I am concerned it is in the Middle North West.
