I got angry/frustrated/pissed-off enough a few weeks ago that I decided not to come back. Sanctimony from a mod was the last straw.

That lasted for a few weeks. I've been hanging out at PZ's place, read every single cracker comment, and added a few myself.

I've missed some of you enough to come back. Found out I was up for the Pith award. Very cool.

I have even less patience for idiocy than I had before, however, and will no longer play the nice guy.

I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it any more!
 
I think NC is probably more off topic than the rest of us at this point; apparently taking to heart his philosophy of never sticking to any one thing for long enough to get good at it, he has veered off from the holy resurrected language and his own brave attempt to master english as she is spoke, to something about short work weeks and community college crash courses in brain surgery and virtuoso fiddling, and now seems to be taking on history. Egad, the man's a polymath! NC, I hope you take up mechanical trades next. I'm having trouble getting my shaper to cut keyways without chatter. Six weeks to master? No problem. I'll wait.

That's some ****** up logic right there. At least you recognize you can't kill the descendants. I think you'll find the effectiveness of begging God to force people to natively learn a language will be low. And what is it going to save them from in this life?

Wrong again, twerp. My ancestors came from all over what are now referred to as 'the British Isles'. I am, in part, Anglo-Saxon.

I'm happiest about those who lived in Wales and the Isle of Man, however - the first for obvious reasons and the latter because it makes me part Manx.

I will never learn Hebrew.

If I were to live forever and were utterly bored out of my mind, I would never learn Hebrew.

Felt sad. For the language and the guy.

I was simply referring to the phrase "Isle of Man".
