Everything we've learned about gravity since Newton.

In fact, no, just for the hell of it I'll edit and elaborate.

Gravity is always attractive. Evidence: lack of antigravity.
Gravity has affects over long distances. Evidence: orbiting planets.

Therefore gravity adds up without limit. If you want to suggest that gravity is not strong enough to form black holes, then you must postulate some kind of limit on the accumulation of gravity. You must provide evidence that such a limit exists.
