Is "black hole" a racially insensitive term?

According to some the Sun revolves around the Earth. According to some a white-bearded sky wizard loves us all despite his fondness for genocide, etc. ;)

Yeah, I saw that article earlier today. Amazing, isn't it? From people who've had tertiary education...

Bah bah neutral-colored so as not to hurt anyone's feelings sheep,

Anyone negatively affected by 'black holes' is just trying to radiate some real dark energy.
Maaaaan.

So I guess Stephen Hawkings next book will be titled “Holes of Color”?

Hear them singing:

Beasts of England, Beasts of Ireland
Beasts of every land and clime
Harken to the joyful tidings
of a golden future time!

Well, I hope that'll teach Mr. Mayfield to be more niggardly in this choice of terminology when describing the inefficiencies of the Dallas County courthouse.

Perhaps "manhole" is sexist and should be changed to "personhole".
Close, but no banana.

In 1990, the city of Sacramento, California officially renamed all their manholes to "maintenance holes" out of concern for the equality of both genders [1]. The name "maintenance hole" was selected because the term shares the same initials as the word "manhole," thereby eliminating the need to change the MH labels on the city's utility maps.

In my research, I've found all of them to be pink on the inside.
And delicious!
