CIT.....Time to call it a day

Okay Ranke has put up a challenge for anyone at JREF to prove him wrong about his placement of the light poles.
...

This is insane, I just cannot believe the denial.

I wouldn't bother. He's been disproved on everything else and just needs another diversionary post to cover up that fact.

I'd just keep pressing him on why there are no witnesses on the far side of the Pentagon who said they saw AA77 fly over and beyond the Pentagon.

With regard to the pole CIT labels "pole #1" in the sequence of pictures that Craig himself posted, the fact that it moves right to left relative to the VDOT pole, which is to the left of the path of the car as the photos were taken, show unambiguously that "pole #1" is closer to the camera than the VDOT pole.

So if the real pole #1 is beyond the VDOT pole, their labeled Pole #1 can't be right. The pole they've labeled #2 in the video would have to actually be pole #1.

Respectfully,
Myriad

Thanks Myriad, I made the exact same point about how it moved right to left relative of the VDOT pole.

The perspective of CIT "pole #1" is a little tricky because of how it gets washed out in the photo by the VDOT pole. Looking at the base of "pole #1" makes it clearer that it is in front of the VDOT pole: (Clicky for larger)

However, that really doesn't matter because it is abundantly clear that "pole #2" is behind the overhanging road signs:

bobloblaw is plainly and unambigously correct with this photo:

To argue otherwise is delusional.

Not sure where you're going with that, I've always been pretty sure there were 5.
Well, as I've said, it is mostly to mess with their brains. In particular TC's, as I find it funny how he throws around words like noob or newb, yet he himself doesn't appear to have much of a clue about the 9/11 Pentagon scene.

If you look at it from a certain point of view, the pole#2 pic, that CIT like to use, doesn't actually show the whole lamp pole, just the top section, which holds the light assembly itself. This part:

There's also Mr. England's account, saying he was doing about 50mph when the pole hit his car. If the pole, that hit the car, was "Pole#1", he wouldn't stop immediately, inertia would carry him quite a way beyond pole#1's position. So, I'm saying that there is a possibility that Mr. England's car got hit by p#2, and the p#1 was somehow not there on 9/11. Here's the messing-with-CIT-brain part: how would the lack of p#1 change their interpretation of the "official" flight path?

4) Was Mr. Stephens even in a position to make such a distinction, TC? yes or no
1) Yes
2) No
3) We're not discussing their accounts, I would have to review them.
4) Yes
TC, thanks for answering a part of my post.

How do you comment this tree on the right, then?
http://www.photolibrary.fema.gov/photodata/original/4497.jpg

And you are aware that there was a whole highway overpass in the way of Mr. Stephens' "view" of Citgo, right?

Yes, you should look into Mr. Wallace and Mr. Skipper's accounts. I don't quite remember which NEIT they are at the moment, but I'm sure you can find at least Mr. Wallace. Why would they be running, if the plane only turned towards them behind the tree? (Remember, Lyte says Mr. Walter was unable to see the impact, because some other trees were in the way.) If they only saw it as it supposedly passed across the Navy Annex, they would surely think it was going to fly over the cemetery, thus nowhere near them. Why would they decide to run in the same direction the plane was supposedly heading, without even being able to see it turn towards them behind the tree?

Of course, I'd still like to know just how do you detect the difference between a false and real memory.

Could someone who can handle being stupified for a few hours please have a look through this thread (...) and tell me where I've gone wrong please?
CIT has occasionaly been wrong about the poles on the eastern side of Washington Boulevard for a while. But since this has only happened with certain photos, I had never bothered to have a closer look. I haven't noticed the #1 problem yet, and I'm not going back there to check it out now. It's not worth the headache or damage to my walls at forehead height, sorry. Lyte's interpretation of Sucherman's 2 o'clock position has been addressed by Larson. In no way would I be surprised, if Lyte has mixed up another light pole, though. There is one quite near the VDOT camera pole and I can imagine how he could mistake it for pole#1.

You can crosscheck the light post positions in Microsoft's Live Earth.
http://maps.live.com

When you navigate around the area in "Bird's eye" view, you sometimes get aerial photos from before the new roads were built, and at other times the more recent situation. Here's a sample of the old setup.

Here's a more recent one, with an approximate location of pole #5. #3 & #4 are still pretty much where they used to be.

Haha.. Well, the work I perform is Government related, put it that way :)

Edit - I've saved every page of the thread on the CIT forum. This is one of the classics.

Aaaaah I was as well for 13 yrs.
I didnt have a cool treefort like the CIT though.

What the hell is Lyte smoking?

Of course the light pole is in front of the other VDOT pole. How in the hell else can it move from the right to the left of the VDOT pole?

Damn, those mutts at CIT are grossly incompetent.

I would like to see Craig reconcile these three images:

1. Posted/labeled by bobloblaw. Called incorrect by CIT.

2. Posted/labeled by CIT in response - last in series. Pole #1 ostensibly in front of VDOT pole

3. Posted/labeled by celestrin. CIT pole #1 clearly in front of VDOT pole. CIT Pole #2 clearly behind overhanging signs. CIT pole#2 = actual pole #1.

Okay Ranke has put up a challenge for anyone at JREF to prove him wrong about his placement of the light poles.

Read through the thread to come up to speed ( http://z3.invisionfree.com/CIT/index...pic=144&st=105 ). All of the material you need is in the thread.

Apparently I just need one person to back me up on the notion that the pole that he has labelled as Pole #1 is actually in front of the camera mast and not behind it. He has posted sequences of photos (most notable on Page 8 of the thread), but there are also videos that show the pole going by. Check out (on their website) the USA Today Parade video and the CIT Jettin' Crosstown Part 2 video.

This is insane, I just cannot believe the denial.

In the video, we can clearly see that CIT's purported Pole#1 and the VDOT camera pole are perfectly in line at one point. This can also be proven to have occurred because they clearly switch sides during the video. The camera must have been on the line defined by the centers of the bases of the two poles when they appear to be coincident in the video.

The following will not be perfectly accurate, as the satellite was not exactly overhead, and the terrain is not perfectly flat; however, as the poles are close together near the edge of a graded highway, and the satellite was close to directly overhead, it is accurate enough. If CIT is correct, their car must have been on the yellow line; if they are wrong, their car must have been on the red line. The answer is quite obvious.

Do you suppose a picture might help?

This shows how the light pole moves right to left in the view from the car, when it is closer than (in front of) the VDOT pole. Lyte's "entire sequence of images" clearly shows exactly this phenomenon.

If it were the light pole that was farther away, the opposite would happen.

The drawing is not exactly to scale, but the same effect will occur in any case whatsoever, where both objects are to the left of the car's path.* Reposition them however you want. The closer object will always move right to left with respect to the more distant one.

If Craig continues to claim otherwise he's now arguing against elementary geometry that surveyors have used for millennia to triangulate the positions of distant landmarks.

Respectfully,
Myriad

The drawing is my own IP. Permission is hereby granted to reproduce and otherwise use the drawing without restriction.

*at some point as the car passes the poles, the other pole will become the closer one, and even then the closer one's position, now the VDOT pole, will shift right to left relative to the more distant one as the car continues on.

Lyte just caved in on LC.

And to think he called Bob a liar and threatened to kick him off his board.

Sad.

Wow, I really didn't think he would take it to LCF. I only said that because I wanted to go to bed.

That he did shows to me that Craig is a true believer.

He actually did think he was right.

Ok so Craig says he made an error is labeling poles 1 and 2.
http://s1.zetaboards.com/LooseChangeForums/topic/354931/1/#new
He says after 9-11 that the poles 1 and 2 were placed back into the same location.
Wasn't there also an issue with his labeling of 3,4, and 5?
I need some sort of diagram of all of the holes in this story in order to keep up.
Here's how they screwed up in relation to the poles in the USA Today Parade video. This image details the poles they got wrong:

citpolesmokers-4avhw3z98.jpeg

The effect of mislabelling the poles is to dramatically shorten the section of road that Joel could have possibly seen the plane in his front windshield. By bring the poles much further south they effectively put the plane almost overhead at the point where they claim the Pentagon only just comes into view.

But they can actually drive for a further 6 seconds or 87 meters north at that speed before they're under the official flight path.

You do understand Mr. Boger was in the Heliport Tower and not at ground level, correct?

2)
Levipoles.jpg

You do concede that if the plane was on the SoC flight path that Mr. Stephens would have noticed the light poles it was uprooting directly in front of him while he watched it approach, correct?

What's it really like to be a denier, TC? Do you enjoy it?

You can let me know when Mr. Boger & Mr. Stephens don't recant their placement of the plane.

Just like none of the other eyewitnesses to the plane will recant their placement and say it was somewhere else for people like you......

Let me know when you learn how to investigate. So far your fantasy has failed to come close to reality. Your lie that the poles were planted, is that another non-idea?
