What gets to me is why he comes back time and time again to a forum where 90% of the people quite justly view him with contempt.
And this makes the fourth sock puppet for this guy if he is who Alfred and I think he is. We could be wrong but I doubt it. The technique and style are just too similair.
 
I read the two chapters on the truthers at the book store over the weekend. This is classic, the truthers are all looking at each other, "I don't get it".

Cheney: Easy. First, we cultivate 19 suicidal Muslim patsies from a variety of Middle Eastern countries, I'd say mostly from Saudi Arabia. We bring them to the U.S., train them at U.S. flight schools. They should be high-profile terrorist suspects who are magically given free reign by the security agencies to travel back and forth to various terrorist training camps to study passenger jet piloting. Actually that process is already underway now. Our friends in the Clinton administration are seeing to it that four groups of Arab men are being brought along by the FBI and the CIA.

Wolfowitz: How is it that the Clinton administration is already helping us with this, when we haven't even planned this yet?

There's a transcript of an online chat on the Washington Post website. Someone asked Taibbi about WTC7:

Long Beach, Calif.: While not a total convert to the Sept. 11 theory of it being an inside job, I do think that building No. 7 was a controlled blast, as it was not hit by a plane, and was dropped on camera in the fashion of a pro demolition. Have you seen the footage, or owner Mr. Silverman saying they "pulled" the building? How does that sit with you?

Matt Taibbi: I'll tell you how that sits with me - only a moron could think that a guy like Silverstein, who's suddenly in line to get a massive insurance settlement, is going to confess on live television to demolishing his own building. I mean, are you people completely daft? It's the same with the whole business about Rudy Giuliani "admitting" that he knew the Towers were coming down. If he was in on something like that, is he really going to confess it to Peter Jennings? Why in the world would he do that?

Also, the supposed "motive" for demolishing WTC-7 is hilarious - to cover up evidence of the planning of the attacks, as it is speculated that they were planned from that building. What, did the conspirators carve their plans on slate tables? They needed to blow up a massive skyscraper on live TV in order to prevent "Long Beach, Calif" from finding out the awful truth? Like you're finding out anything without them blowing up any buildings. This theory presupposes that people commit these crimes for no reason at all. It's crazy.

And what evidence could possibly exist that would be so unwieldy that it would require the destruction of an entire building to be rid of? What, did the CIA carve its 9/11 plans in a 7,000-pound slab of New Hampshire granite in the WTC-7 basement? Were they doodled on the CIA bathroom stalls? Here I sit, brokenhearted. Came to s***, but only . . . planned controlled demolition of the World Trade Center!

Why doesn't Taibbi write a serious article or book on how the Bush administration actually told the truth about 9/11 when they have never told the truth about anything? Because that would truly be hilarious. The problem is it would involve some real research and wouldn't facilitate Mr. Taibbi an opportunity to show off what he feels is a comedic screen writing talent another bad call on his part. He cares nothing about 9/11 and knows nothing about it. He's making fun for the sake of making fun and 9/11 will serve just as good as anything else. He’s so hip and cool isn’t he? I mean what's the relevance to that garbage? Well if the economy keeps tanking and eventually there are lines to get toilet paper we'll have Taibbi and his writing. Or at least the paper that was wasted to print it on. Then and only then will it be of any use to anyone.

No actually he is using sarcasm to show how your hallucinations are idiotic.

Different people have different ways of making their points, and some people use sarcasm to make their points. That doesn't automatically invalidate what is said.

What's my hallucination? Why doesn't he just go write some bad Hollywood comedy and stop pretending to be a journalist? There is no point to his garbage except maybe "look how funny I am". And he's not even funny. Taibbi is the same idiot who proclaimed "Lieberman & Co's Days Are Numbered back in 2006". I guess he's still counting the days. So not a journalist, not funny, and there is no point to get. It's just garbage.

Why shouldn't it anger me? Because like most of our press he is a fraud. He can't find anything better to write about? He pretends to be some hard hitting journalist coming with the cold hard facts when he’s nothing of the sort. He’ll write article after article on how the Bush administration is stupid and incompetent when they got just what they wanted and they’re still getting it. He’ll write two years ago about how Joe Lieberman and company are finished when Joe Lieberman two years later is still running around as AIPAC’s little messenger boy telling anyone who will give him the time that we need to bomb Iran. Taibbi has been effectively neutered like most of our press and he’s bitter and pretends like 9/11 activists are the only ones who point this fact out. Maybe he needs to find out a little more about 9/11 or anything else he chooses to write about before he puts pen to paper and then and only then might he get on the road to actually having an effect. Then again he’s probably given up on being relevant so he’s just going to try and be funny and get his hard hitting point across by calling people names and writing bad satire. Maybe he can get a movie deal and bail for good. One can only hope. Or maybe he should take some cues from 9/11 truth who obviously have had an effect on him. He can’t seem to stop writing about them anyway. If we do bomb Iran sometime in the near future or have another questionable election and Taibbi can’t find any facts about that either at least he’ll have Big Foot or the Loch Ness Monster to turn to. Unfortunately it probably won’t be any funnier then his last piece of garbage.

We crash the planes, kill everyone above the impact of the planes, let the people underneath the impact out to safety, then collapse the buildings about an hour or so later using the explosives that we pointlessly incurred months and weeks worth of career- and life-threatening risk to covertly plant in a building complex visited by hundreds of thousands of people every week.

Cheney: Exactly! The actual deaths will mostly be caused by the planes. But we'll incur the massive additional risk simply to destroy the building, for effect, because it will look cool and scary on television.

If you want ridiculous then why go any further then their actual words?

Now that's some funny stuff and they're all laughing right to the bank. In fact Wolfowitz was made head of the bank for his great foresight wasn't he? Now Taibbi could write more about things like that but he's got better things to do doesn't he? It's Taibbi who likes to think of himself as "dangerous and ungovernable" in journalistic sense and that is the real joke. What's the problem is the truth movement stealing his thunder?
