Given all the excitement over a possible Scottish Referendum, I have a question for those in favour of an independant Scotland (no, not who should get the oil... which logically should be whoever kept the navy):
Who should become citizens of the new Independant Scottish State?
Would it be:
1) Whoever was living in Scotland at the time of independance.
2) Those who had lived in Scotland for at least x years before independance.
3) Those either born in Scotland, or whose parents were born in Scotland.
4) Automatic for any citizen of the 'old' UK who decides, within a certain period post referendum/independance, to apply for it.
5) Gaelic speakers? (Ok - Joke!)
6) Something else?
