Regardless of the fact that New Zealand is a little bitty country at the derriere of the world, Helen Clark is one of the world's foremost, and longest-serving, women leaders.

As such, Hillary should have known extremely well that St Helen is still the PM of NZ.

Fair enough that Hills should use Helen as an example of dealing with criticism - usually known as "mangina", our Helen - but making an unforgiveable gaffe?

Priceless.

Ya' know, I read that, and I re-read it. And nowhere can I find anywhere that Obama says he was conceived on the date or at the time that the referenced events took place. In fact, no matter how I read it, it comes out the same every time. That Obama's father and mother met after those events, and it was specifically because those events had occurred that a black man from Africa and a white woman in Alabama were actually able to be together and get married. ie. if those events had not occurred, if his father had arrived before those events, such a relationship would have been impossible (or, at the very least, far more unlikely).

So yes...Obama is here in part because of what happened in Selma. Which is the only claim he is making. If you can find anywhere in that where he actually says he was conceived during those events, as opposed to being conceived as a result of those events, then I'll gladly agree with you that this is a "bizarre claim". But other than that, I'll put it down to someone who simply doesn't like Obama doing their best to make his words mean something other than intended.

Nope, you're wrong on several counts, most importantly:

Hillary plays the "woman" card and women clearly support her for it.

She knows who Helen Clark is sufficiently to use her anecdotally.

She is betraying her stated ideals by not knowing who the longest-serving elected woman PM/President is, or that she's still in office.

Sorry, I'm not getting your arguments at all here. First, Obama was lying because these events happened four years before he was born. Now, you claim that he is lying because these events happened after his parents met.

And again, even if this is true, it was my interpretation that they met after these events...not Obama's statement. Again, please show me where he specifically made any such claim.

In fact, if your claim is true, it could well strengthen his argument...that his parents did, in fact, experience the events in question, and that those events were part of what either drew them together, and/or made their relationship possible.
