In this context he probably intends for it to mean "essentially" or "basically".

Since the collapses were highly nonlinear, I agree with him.

i disagree, and claim, that a nonlinear full scale FEA model simulation will be far more accurate as a onedimensional elementary calculation pseudscience paper.
 
i dont want to mock US science as a fan of the MIT, NASA, NIST (Normaly).
but when the chinese can, you can to :)
 
and i heard(and cannot back it up), NIST did indeed try, but the freaking model didnt want to reproduce a gravity driven Progressive Collapse.
so they "trew away" theyr model and left the up to date science and went back to paper where they can cheat like they want, in a way a FEA model would be called fraudelent modeled :)

I'm tired and not really sure if it would be worth it. If you are serious, the 'net is full of explanations and examples that are far higher quality than anything I would produce. You could probably even find plenty in your native language.

However you are a layman with no relevant structural training, so with respect your opinion on thatpoint is exactly that - a lay opinion.

but Alex Jones, i saw a few of his "documentarys" they are very entertaining.
