Hi, everybody!

Today I watched a clip on You Tube by Michael Shermer on remote viewing.
He joined a group of people who wanted to learn this ability from a coach.
So, there was a picture of something placed in a sealed envelope on a desk, and the guys drew sketches and things and wrote down some words that came into their minds.
So, I thought what kind of photo would I place into that envelope and thought of Stonehenge. And it was TAADAA: Stonehenge!:eye-poppi
One member of the group actually came up with that word, like me!
So, why am I not surprised and feel lucky to have these superpowers?
Maybe, because this is an obvious guess? Something mystical and legendary like Stonehenge would add to your claim some sort of spiritual quality and substantiate your deception of the participants. Also the structure is so symmetrical and at the same time not symmetrical that it can be interpreted in nearly every nonsense you scribble on a sheet of paper?
I don't know, but what I know is, if the KansasCityShuffle can do it so can you

Greeting
Marc

Don't be so humble.
You DO have super powers.
Congrats!

Super critical thinking powers! Able to see through BS from miles away! Avoids jumping to conclusions in a single bound! He's Skeptic Man!

Imagine if you were at a party and word got round that there was a remote viewer in the crowd.

As if drawing random shapes and writing "energy, movement and existance" would impress any of the curious party guests.

It's basically human ignorance and arrogance put on display for skeptics to get frustrated about.

It's not right.

Rant over.

Wouldn't impress me - the word is existence. ;) :D

When I was young I did the same thing concerning a TV show on which Uri Geller appeared. He would "transmit" what he was thinking into my brain! I drew a smiley face and lo and behold, so did he!

This raised my opinion of him from remote woo-er to remote woo-er who sometimes gets lucky.

Jon Ronson wrote a book called The Men Who Stare at Goats. It includes the US military funding remote viewing. It is a good read and you can get it from Zavvi for a fiver if you are in the UK. Lots of other strange stuff is in there as well.

I remember all the talk of the government doing "ESP" experiments and remote viewing etc., seems to me like it was back in the 60's. Does anyone know if 30 or 40 years ago there was a "skeptic" crowd of people speaking out against this as a waste of taxpayers money? I honestly don't remember anyone in the news doubting the value of pursuing such research back then.

Personally I doubt you'd see the skeptic point of view on the news if they were doing it today.
